Starting this thread to see what people think who would win in these particular NBA matchups, anyone think of any just post below. This thread is strictly for NBA matchups whether it's Old School player/team versus New School player/team. I'm gonna start with the matchup of :

    Detroit Bad Boys - Now
    VS
    Detroit Bad Boys - Past

Definitely the Bad Boys of old here.

    The next matchup is:

    Domonique Wilkin's dunks
    VS
    Vince Carter's dunks

I know Domonique is the creater but I think Carter has alot more nasty and creative dunks than him.

Vince, he is the greatest dunker of all time IMO.

When he wasnt injured he was litterally, inVINCEable.

No disrespect to the old skool, but VC fosho. Nique was mostly a 2 foot leaper, and VC jumps off 2 and 1 leg just about the same. VC maybe a inch or 2 higher of two feet. But that wirlwind dunk that he did in HS close to the freethrow line was sick. To bad I don't have links for that.

The Old Bad Boys would destroy the New version of the Bad Boys.

    The Backcourt Match-up
The backcourt of Thomas and Joe Dumars would have a field day against Rip and Chauncey. They were one of the best guard duos of All Time. Dumars was a tremendous and keen defender. He wouldn't let Rip get into any rhythm and would put a lot of pressure on him on offense.

    The Frontcourt/Center Match-up
Rodman/Mahorn and Ben Wallace would be an interesting match-up, and probably a wash. Sheed and Laimbeer would have a war inside the paint. Sheed is more athletic than Laimbeer, but the Original Bad Boys had no problem knocking players around and not allowing any easy layups. Sheed getting fouled hard by Rodman, Mahorn, James Edwards, William Bedford, and Spider Salley, would force him to shy from the rim and play a less effective perimeter game. I'm not sure Sheed could mentally handle the beating he would take inside the paint. Mark Aguirre and Tayshaun Prince wouldn't be much of a factor in the game. Aguirre was near the end of his career during the Piston championship runs, but he would be able to match Prince in scoring. Neither player would have much of an impact on the outcome of this game.

    The Bench
Both of these teams have great benches, however once again the Old Pistons get the edge. With the scoring they brought off the bench with Vinny Microwave Johnson and Adrian Dantley, they could easily swing a tight game into their advantage. The current Pistons have a strong bench, but they simply don't have the weapons on offense to match-up with the Pistons of old.

the only competition for Ben out of those 3 is Rodman. The rest were flatfooted players without much athleticism. Regardless they were tough on D and didn't hesitate to put you on your ass if you were in the lane,I just think Big Ben is more than a match for any of 'em.

    Kidd.

Zeke was more of a scoring point. He was no slouch at passing and awareness and vision on the court but he wasn't in Kidd's league. Same can be said for Kidd not in Zeke's league as far as scoring goes.

J-Kidd...man, watching him lead the fastbreak and ally lop to K-Mart or RJ is very exciting. Maybe i didnt watch enough of his game, but i dont think Isiah is a good passer, he is a great scorer. J-Kidd wins over Isiah.

I agree Kidd lobbing Martin and RJ is sick. They have a chemistry like no other, I love how they know where each other is on the court especially on the fast break.

You're wrong. Isiah was a good passer, not an otherworldy one like Kidd but he had good passing skills none the less.
