I'm new to the site and this is my first post. A lot of talk in the Cleveland media is that the Cavaliers will try to trade the #10 pick for a SG that can hit the three. I'm thinking a guy like Szerbiak would be a good fit with LeBron, is there any chance the Cavs could land him with this pick? Anyone know of someone who would be a better fit (I know the front office doesn't want any me first players)? Or would they be better off with Childress if he were there...does he have NBA 3 range?
Salary-wise a deal using the 10 pick for Wally would be tricky, but possible. Given his health problems though I think they would be better off hoping Ben Gordon falls to them. In addition to providing outside shooting and generaly scoring punch, he and Lebron would be a versatile and explosive backcourt and Gordon's role as a leader on an NCAA championship team will be valuable to the cavs. I can't imagine Childress slipping all the way to 10, he is too talented and is a good fit for every team except phoenix picking 3-9.
He shot nearly 40% from 3pt range in college and made more than a three per game. He has a very soft touch from beyond 20 ft and while I doubt he will ever win the 3pt shoot-out, nothing I've seen indicates that he cannot become a plus shooter from the arc.
they could get voshon lenard. I think Kareem Rush is going to be a free agent next year I'm not sure.I dont think they need to trade the pick in order to get a good three point shooter.
He likely has three range, he's not as good a shooter like someone like Battier was in college from outside, but he can hit the three. Expect him to shoot 33-35% from behind the arc his first season.
I think between the Cavs and the 76ers you will see Childress, Igodala, and Gordon picked. These are the types of players I think the GM's for these teams are looking for.
I don't think that they are going to get Wally. He's very valuable to the Timberwolves. He also has a great jump shot too. He can make tons of shot weather hes open or not. And I don't think he's leaving yet.
They could go after Jameer Nelson. Though, he's a point guard, it would allow LeBron to play the shooting guard spot like he did later in the season after they picked up McInnis. But he is a great outside shooter and the Cavs do kinda need someone with his type of range and shooting ability.
Well they're already planning on euither re-signing McInnis, gettting another PG, or seeing how Wagner can handle the PG spot if they don't have a draft pick PG, so Lebron won't be playing the point anyways.
