Last season, NBA Commissioner David Stern presented former San Antonio Spurs center David Robinson with an honorary plaque and announced that all future winners of the NBA Community Assist Award would receive the David Robinson Plaque. The NBA Community Assist Award is given out monthly by the league to recognize players for their charitable efforts. The award honors the NBA player who reflects the passion that the league and its players have for their communities. He should be, imagine the Clippers having C - Kaman PF - Brand SF - Odom SG - Maggette PG - Jaric (ughh) 6th Man - Q-Rich 7th Man -Wilcox this year Odom could play point too, and have Q-Rich start at the 2 and move Magette to the 3 and Jaric to the bench lol I'm proud of Odom, I was a bigger fan before but the problems kinda geared me away, drug problems aren't an inviting factor to me liking a player. He's entered my good books again, and I hope him Wade, Haslem and the Butler's cna keep doing their thang.

The reason he basically won this is because there was a boy who had just lost his whole family in a fire so Odom gave him court side seats for most of the playoff games and hung out with him after and also brung him on a big shopping spree. And he didn't even want it to become public because he didn't want people thinking he's only doing it for good press but yeah obviously they got it out somehow. That's awesome he did that, not every player would take own time our their life to spend with some less fortunate.</font></font></font>

He's always been a good person even after being labelled not. The drugs and all, that's behind him. This new him that came about from his becoming a Heat is really something. He's one hell of a player, person and class act. Expect to see more from him, you deserve it Odom, keep up the good work!
