Which team do you think has the most intense fans in the league? I think its a close race between NY and LA. NY has Spike Lee who gets into players faces, like he does with Reggie Miller back in the day. LA's got Jack Nicholeson(sp?) who also is very animated, but mostly with the officials. What do you guys think?
yeh i think it would probally be close between Ny, LA, or the Kings also. Those cowbells are just plain annoying btw eginobli how do you get your av over there on the left like that.
Most of the celebrity fans in LA are just there so they can get on TV for 2 seconds, they don't care about the game and anytime they get interviewed it's so obvious they know nothing about basketball. The only real celebrity fan LA has is Jack, the rest are just bandwagoners. The Heat have a lot of celebrity fans, it's just nobody outside of Florida ever notices because we never get any nationally televised games, lol. Warren Sapp was at more than half of all Heat home games this season, even when we were doing horrible in the first half of the season, he's a real Heat fan. Jimmy Buffet is also a Heat season ticket holder and there's a few others. A lot lot of Jacksonville Jaguars and Dolpins players were at a bunch of our games too.
Warren Sapp attends several Magic games as well. He's probably the only regular who attends games. I've seen Smilez & Southstar, Daunte Culpepper, some dude from NSYNC, and a couple of other football players, all whom I have no idea who they are (I HATE football). Dennis Salvagio aka the Fat Guy isn't a celebrity, but he's well known with all Magic fans. He attends every home game, and runs around the arena when the games get close. And if it's a really good game, he goes shirtless - which is scary. Like Accord said, most of the celeb Laker fans are just their for their TV time. I've seen Ben Afleck, Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Denzel, etc. there supporting 'their Lakers.' It's Hollywood, and they are there for the show. The only true LA celeb fan is Jack Nicholson. He's been there long enough - thats a true fan.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Accord:</div><div class="quote_post"> The only real celebrity fan LA has is Jack, the rest are just bandwagoners. </div> Dyan Cannon is always there...she is definietly a real fan...(altho she's a B-rate celebrity, lol)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">Dyan Cannon is always there...she is definietly a real fan...(altho she's a B-rate celebrity, lol)</div> What about Penny Marshall, she seems pretty devoted to the Lakers & clippers. BTW, Warren Sapp changed to a heat fan during the playoffs.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">BTW, Warren Sapp changed to a heat fan during the playoffs.</div> No he didn't, Warren Sapp has been coming to Heat games for many years, even when we were a horrible team destined for the lottery every season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">What about Penny Marshall, she seems pretty devoted to the Lakers & clippers. </div> Yea, you're right, she is actually a great fan....that makes 3, lol...
I always though Denzel was dedicated, then I got suspicious when he started wearing that Yankee cap... So we have 4 dedicated sports celebrity fans? -Jack Nicholson -Spike Lee -Penny Marshall -Dyan Cannon
It has to be L.A. Lakers, Jack just gets in everybody's faces. Denzel Washington also goes to alot of Laker games too.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe 8 Ball:</div><div class="quote_post">I always though Denzel was dedicated, then I got suspicious when he started wearing that Yankee cap... Samuel L. Jackson is a huge Raptors fan, he goes to our games whenever he's in Toronto filming and he even placed a Raptors bag in one of the scenes in Pulp Fiction. Ashley Judd is a huge Kentucky basketball fan, you'll always see her at their games in the NCAA Final Four.
well, I'm very disappointed in Jack Nicholson ... he was at the dodger game tonite versus the Yankees, and who's hat did he wear? THe Yankees....Dodger owner Frank McCourt gave him a dodger hat, but Jack wouldn't wear it....
I met Jamie Moyer at a Sonics' game once...I don't think he's a regular though. As for LA, Frankie Muniz goes to every Clippers game i heard.
