I just thought of something wanted your opinions.

Tracy wants to leave (i'm pretty sure) and after this year the lakers championship hopes could be over (maybe) if they lose Kobe.

So if the lakers were to lose kobe would you trade the 1st pick and T-Mac to the lakers for Shaq and maybe another smaller known player? I would just because i want to see shaq playing in a magic jersey again, Heck then they could trade for penny if they wanted to.

    Why would we do that?

We would be giving up way too much. Trading McGrady, and our 1st pick for an aging Shaq?

Tracy is only 25 whereas Shaq is 32. Shaq isn't as dominate as he once was, and Orlando need to build long term for the future. Our first pick is a huge building block to our future. Okafor/Dwight are franchise players, and we would be trading that away before we even gave them a chance.

If a trade were to go down between LA, I'd prefer a straight up trade of Kobe & McGrady. (Given Kobe's off-court issues are settled) Kobe has the clutch, experience, and overall performance. (Let's not turn this into a Kobe/Tracy debate)

And WHY do you want Penny back? He sure as hell isn't the same player as he once was, and couldn't contribute on a consistant basis. If you want to see these players in a Magic uni again, just buy their old jerseys and pretend they are still playing for us. [IMG]

    Thats funny and true.

I do not like this trade at all. i wouldnt even like Tracy for Kobe. I want the Magic to wait this one out and see how there teams come out. With the draft pick of two highly anticipate rooks. ANd the Lovely Tracy Mcgrady, and Drew Gooden. Orlando is turning out o be a promising team.

Hey Payton sign wiht the Magic next year. we neeed a pg.

well never have those thoughts again. Or we'll be back. j'k

Sometime you just have to take the time to think out allof the possibilities of a trade or idea before you state it. We are not being personal or anything. Just try to help you as a poster to realize the faults in this idea. Its ok no one hates you man.

why would they do that? Mac's young and Magic could have a future with Okafor

It be scary though, Mac and Kobe for L.A.

Never gonna happen. As for Penny coming back to Orlando, I miss him, but he left Orlando on very bad terms. He's a shadow of the player he once was as well. Did you guys see him trying to be a 40 minute a game player again this year in the playoffs? It wasn't pretty.

I miss the old days of Shaq and Penny, but the truth is that they never really got along that well off the court, their relationship makes Kobe/Shaq look like they're best friends. It was that bad.

McGrady might be on his way out, and that's fine, but he's missing out. This town would worship him if he stuck around and helped the franchise get back to where it should be.
