<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">I think this is one of those series where home court advantage won't mean that much, especially in the first 4 games of the series. The Pistons proved that they are not intimidated or fazed playing in the Staples Center and the Lakers have proved time and time again that they can win on the road. It will just come down to execution.</div> Exactly. The Pistons are too busy shutting down Payton and his big mouth to care about the home court advantage. But like the others have said, I think LA will take this one. I don't see them dropping two games on their court, but you never know. Either way you look at it, we now know the Pistons aren't the pushovers that some people made them out to be. Key to the game: Get to the line!

I'm going to say that The Lakers will win by 2,but it's obvious to me and other fans that the Lakers are just gonna have to be A Little bit better than on sunday if there gonna beat Detroit If game 1's any indication of how the NBA championship series will be played, than we oughtta be seeing some great B-Ball!!!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kingpistonfan16:</div><div class="quote_post">ok. If the pistons want to win game 2 and take a 2-0 lead over the lakers, they have to make sure the supporting cast of the lakers scores less than 18 points combined. Even though the pistons won game 1, i stil want them to score 90+ points. if Rip Hamilton can shut kobe down like he did in game 1, then the pistons can have the 2-0 lead maybe. For the lakers to tie the series, the Lakers supporting cast must help out Kobe and shaq, because they cant do it all alone. Kobe must score at least 27-34 points and shaq score about the same. and Kareem Rush must hit the open 3's Unless the pistons defense decides to smother him. hahaha. also, Payton and malone must score a combined 20 points to make this a great game and a possible lakers win.</div> Tayshaun Prince was guarding Kobe in game 1. The Lakers need to take advantage of the mismatches in this game. The last game the Pistons got away with Rip guarding Devean George. The Lakers need to punish Rip in the paint and have Devean crash the boards hard and not linger for perimeter shots. Gary Payton needs to be more aggressive on offense and wear down Billups as much as possible. Shaq and Kobe will continue to produce, but a third or fourth guy needs to get into double digits at the very least in this game.
I think LA will take this game, hope to god they dont, but I just feel theyre gonna come back strong in this game and take it.
I think the Lakers can get this game tonight. But, Kobe needs to have a good game, cause, he may have had 25 points the other night but his 10/27 shooting was horrendus. Shaq, likewise, needs to have a good game, for that matter, he needs to duplicate the game he had on Sunday, but, get more touches and shot attempts. He needs more than 16 attempts tonight. The Lakers also need to get at least one other player involved. Whether it be Malone, Payton, George, Fisher, anyone, but, someone else needs to score outside of Kobe and Shaq, because, quite frankly, the 5 points being 3rd highest point total Sunday isn't acceptable by any means. It's quite pathetic actually. Than, the Lakers need to figure out how to get open cutting lanes to the hoop for Kobe. It took him over 2 quarters to get a lay up out of the half court on Sunday, and they need to get that going earlier than that. Because, by doing that, it could possibly draw some attention to him and leave someone open. I think, if the Lakers can execute in the half court tonight, they can win. Also, one last thing, take advantage of turnovers. By no means should a team have 20 turnovers in a game and win. The Lakers have got to score on transition tonight. Get out and run in the open court, they need to do that. If the Lakers can at least do some of this, they should be able to win tonight.
Tonight the Lakers will get physical in the series. No more uncontested layups or shots. They will start knocking the Pistons around and laying the lumber on Sheed and Billups. Neither are at 100% and Sheed has always shyed away from rough play. Karl Malone will be the catalyst and make a statement early in the game with an elbow to one of the Wallace's or a hard foul on Tayshaun. The Mailman was embarrassed in Game 1 and he will seek retribution in this game at home. Getting the aggressive juices going for the Lakers will motivate Shaq and especially Kobe to attack the rim more and get to the line. My prediction is a fast start by the Pistons, then a hard foul or technical by Malone leading to a Laker comeback and victory by 9 points.
Does anybody think that the announcers are already putting down the Pistons? I have and my bro Big Ben has already done awesome stuff.
I think they are down on both teams, 2-11 shooting combined to start Game 2 of the NBA Championships. Pathetic. The players need to go back into the locker rooms and this game needs to be reset.
I think they need to also and my Pistons already have alot of fouls. I think it will be Pistons 86 Lakers 80 Elden Campell will be the key because when Rasheed and Ben are tired he will stop Shaq just like he tried to do the first game but couldnt. The Lakers need to tell Gary Payton also that he is not the number 1 guy.
L.A.'s gonna take it... no contest. Who wants to make a bet? If Lakers lose, I'll wear a sig of Brad Pitt for as long as I'm here... I swear on my MAMA!!!
course you do... if you lose, you wear a sig of Justin Timberlake.... for...EVER (*echos* ever ever ever ever......) Bring It On!
No way I am getting a sig and this deal is off,but if you can get my name changed from JBB Member to JBB's Treelest I will, but if you can't then the deal is off.
