Before game 1 every one underestimated the Pistons. Well it`s the Lakers of course. If this was the Indiana Pacers against the Lakers it wouldnt have this much news. But I think the Pistons will fight with all they can and make it to a Game 7.

I really think that the Pistons will win it in 5.

I know you are probally thinking that I am going outon a limb, but they have the BEST D in the league and have one of the best SG in the game. They also have the best PF and C combo.

I am sorry I havent been posting like I should.

all i can really say so far is wow.
i fully did not expect the pistons to be this tough for the lakers especially at staples. and i believe that i severely underestimated not only the pistions defense, but their offense too.

this is the first time i can remember a finals series that i have really been interested in seeing how the eastern team does since bird's celtics.

I must say, I was amazed by the Pistons in game 1. They showed that they won't be a pushover. They fought all the way through game 2 and it looked like they would win when they were up by 6 with under 40 seconds in the game. But, they kinda fell apart there at the end. But, despite the fact that the Lakers closed the last roughly 6 minutes on a 16-2 run and won the game, I sitll respect the Pistons. They put up another tough battle and were in it til the end.

I never underestimated the pistons (they beat nets and they got great players, denfense and a good team game) and i was pretty sure theyd win the first one, but then later the lack of experience will cost them the trophy.

the dudes that picked the pistons to win this series prior to game 1 are straight up lying. i think the pistons are the better team, they play much better together and harder. the lakers of course are the more talented team but they play disjointed. although, kobe's shot changed the fate of the team, larry brown is going to go to grave regreting the night he decided to give kobe the shot. wow, that was a game and the pistons are a superb team, i had this feeling even when the pistons were up by 5 with little over a minute to go that kobe would make shots. i hope they win in seven but with kobe in late game situations i like the laker chances. and kobe's heroics might have demoralized the pistons maybe causing them to lose 3 straight. nonetheless, the coach and billups are really mentally tough which will hopefully prevent that kind of thing. GO PISTONS!!!! i guess

After the Past 2 Games,i have a better respect for the Pistons,as most people have underestimated the Pistons Great D

So far Detroit has proven that there along the NBA Elite, and should be highly regarded as an Elite Team.

If the Pistons don't beat the Lakers for the NBA Title this year, expect them to make a hard run,and maybe winning it all in the 2004-2005 season!

[IMG] Though I'm one of the greatest Piston fans on the board, I really think they can't stop that Laker juggernaut... True, they're internal probs with Malone's injury and GP is complaining just about everything... But I don't think they'll hold those guys every game to 4 or 5 points... And if they do they still gotta look out for a Kobe(or his 3-pointers [IMG]) and then you gave that guy in the middle... Forgot his name [IMG]... Really, that's too much to handle for the Pistons...

The only way I can see the pistons win this series is that Ben and Sheed each grow 2 inches or Billups and Hamilton combine for 60PPG... Or that Shaq and Malone are both injured...

    Just my 2 cents though..

lol had me fooled. you have obviously underestimated your "favorite" team. The pistons out played the lakers in both games. game 2 they played a horrible 45 seconds, and over time.
