The offense looked like crap in the first half, but damn did the defense look good the whole game. I had alot of doubts about Trotter being on the field as long as he is, but it looks like that and a mix of other things are stopping the run. Portis had 37 yards on 17 attempts and only broke a 13 yard run. Plus, on that big 4 and inches play, Trotter stuffed the hell out of Ramsey when they ran the QB sneak. Personally, the Defense impressed the hell out of me yesterday

The defense did look good yesterday, although they were playing the 'Skins (Nuff said). The one guy that I think will go nuts in the next few weeks is Westbrook. The guy just looks so much faster than anyone out on the field. If he's clicking on all cylinders, Philly's O can't be stopped. On a side note, if Sheppard doesn't make the Pro Bowl this year it will be a travesty, he's having a hell of a year. Notice the talk of losing Taylor and Vincent has completely stopped now? Look at their stats this year....Joe Banner is a genious when it comes to the salary cap.

Lito does not deserve a pro bowl berth. However sheldon brown does deserve a trip.

    BF1,
As a "Bears Fan", Im sure you haven't had the opportunity to tune in to too many Eagles games as for the most part there played at the same time. I'll give you a quick look at the stats through 10 games:

    Lito Sheppard:32 tackles 4 assists, 1 sack, 4 INT, 2TD's

Sheppard should go to the Pro Bowl this year based on these stats , plain and simple...Sheldon Brown isn't playing bad but he isn't Pro Bowler, ( he doesn't even have a pick yet this year), and I'm a biased Eagles fan

1.) I live in FL not IL. I have seen more eagles games.
2.) You cannot judge a corner by his "stats"
a.) if a corner gets a tackle, it is probably cuz someone else missed one or cuz he let a reciever get open catch the ball and then tackled him. So by having a bad run D in front 7 his tackle total is boosted, and cuz he does give up a lot of catches his tackle total is boosted.
b.) INTs mean that you are getting tested as a corner. Only way that happens is opposing coaches look at game film an see you are getting beat more than you are making plays.
3.) The pick return vs the cowboys people are propping him up on, he was beaten on the play but testeverde was hit by a D-lineman bailing him out. Since he was so far out of good position to make a play on a good throw he was in position for a bad throw.
4.) Sheldon Brown is shutting WRs down, they dont test him like lito cuz they are seeing things in tape.

Finally, learn what constitutes a good football player before you judge them. I have seen 6 eagles games and 2 bears games so your assumption was wrong. Remember assumptions make an ass of U in front of me.

I thought you had NFL ticket? Not looking at stats seems to be your protocal so I'll fill you on something: Sheldon Brown has more tackles than Sheppard so that negates your (A). Now your slamming a guy that picks off a pass and returns it 101 yards for a score? Was he out of position on the other 3, especially the one against Carolina that he took to the house as well? Gimme a break. Brown is having a good year but Sheppard deserves the Pro Bowl. Heed your own advice, "learn what constitues a good football player before you judge them". I always back up my comments with facts/stats, you seem to ramble on with no rational thought just to provoke someone and it's bordering on being ammusing and just plain annoying.

How can this be about hating eagles. I said Sheldon Brown DOES deserve a pro bowl trip. Last i checked he is a Eagles player. I sure am hating on the eagle saying one of thier players deserves to go to pro bowl.

Yeah, I'm beginning to realize this. For a moment there I thought that I might actually have found a decent forum with some intelligent fans to have some solid discussions but anytime you state your case, some people decide it's their que to say the dumbest statements because your a fan of the team they hate...by the way, we haven't seen a "how many Super Bowls have the Eagles won" posts in awhile....how 'bout it BF1?

They do anyway. The comeback to all Eagles bashing is "how many Super Bowl'a have you won". It's the industry standard of all lame conversation and unoriginal comments. I figured BF1 wanted to say it seeing as how he can't hold an intelligent conversation with anyone, so I gave him that option.

Well at the moment our franchise is alot more superior to alot of teams in the NFL. I think they have the best record in the past 3 years? (combined over the 3 seasons) Plus I've always said, a super bowl would be REALLY nice, but 3 straight NFC championships and really good drafting have made this a pretty dominant team recently. The thing that bothers me is most people assume I'm an idiot because I'm a philly fan, and don't accept my points because of it. At the moment, I think McNabb is the best QB in the league, but it's not because I like the eagles. Favre is my favorite active QB, and I think Payton is a close 2nd to McNabb. But just because I'm a philly fan, no one would listen to my reasons for picking McNabb first without saying "aw your such a philly fan." I'll stop ranting now

I am very tempted to ask you your reasons why Mcnabb is a better Qb than manning, but i know how it will end, because mcnabb is not a better Qb than manning, and the only "stat" you can come up with that he is better is wins.

Personally, I think highly of the ability to scramble in a QB. Not like Vick, where they take it for a 20 yard run, but throw for a 60 yard pass after 14 seconds behind the line of scrimmage. There is no stat to measure that BF1, and Manning REALLY impresses me, but I just think McNabb brings alot more to the table. I guess the only thing I can say is McNabb has about 2400 yards rushing in his career, and compared to Mannings 629, well, I don't have to say anymore. I wish McNabb could've had somebody like TO or Harrison since his first start, or James for that fact. Plus Manning has just gotten another weapon in Stokley, who is the best #2 WR in the league. If you put McNabb behind Jeff Saturday, I guarantee you he'd put up just as good if not better stats than Peyton. But eh, I'm just a philly fan
