pure amazement. detroit HAS to be kicking themselves in the rear for letting this get to 1-1 and giving la momentum going to detroit. miller-time seems to be over, and its kobe-time 24/7. he doesnt get the title the best player in the league for nothing, he is purely a special player.
It was 2.1 left on the clock AFTER the shot but yeah... what a shot! Kobe did it all tonight.. Defend, score, and hit all the big shots. Damn great performance by Kobe.
w00t w00t. Damn Lakers should change their name to the Los Angeles "Drama." Kobe bails us out again with a 3 point shot. Amazing ... simply amazing!

Damn that to me was a really good game to see the lakers play defense and to see such a great performance by Shaq and Kobe in overtime. And nice try to the Pistons they didn't give up in the overtime they tried and tried to rebound but the shots weren't falling in and see Big Ben isn't the only one who can rebound. Good job to both teams and now it is a series.
Lakers has got it going on. THREE clutch shots in playoff from 2002-2004. First was Robert Horry against the Kings in a buzzer beater. Then TWO clutches from 2004. First with 0.4 in san antonio, with Fisher to hit the game winner. Then today with Kobe bringing it to over time, and winning it too. The Lakers are like a god's gift to basketball. Its just incredible. But the Pistons were kinda empty brained (no offense Piston fans.) They should have fouled Shaq when he had the ball, With Larry Brown great coaching, they should've know better. But still great effort by Billips, Rip, and Sheed. But now the series is tied 1-1, now to Palace Of Auburn Hills! P.S. Kobe Rocks! 33 points! =)
Yeah it was a good shot,it was a really long range he was way behind the three point line,I'm not taking anything away from Kobe by saying that the shot was poorly defended.
Gotta love this quote:<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe:</div><div class="quote_post">Our guys are just ready to play. They work extremly hard day in and day out and they've prepared themselves accordinly. You know, Karl's been training Luke from day 1 and has been a great mentor for Luke and I for Kareem. And they're ready to play when they step on the floor. They have all the confidence in the world and we have confidence in them and I think that helps a lot. Luke came in and had a monster performance. You could talk about my shot all night long, but without Luke in the ballgame playing as well as he did, we wouldn't have been in that position.</div>
It's good to see Kobe acknowledging his rookie teammate for a job well done, and rightfully so, because the Lakers really needed the big boost that Luke gave them this game. He's going places in this league; we need a lot more unselfish players like him.
I always believed in "our guys" kobe mentioned, we need fresh blood and luke for his spirit and ambition, great performances overall.
Kobe is TBDPTG...The Best Damn Player in the Game...he is the man I want leading my team in the 4th quarter, he can do anything...drive the lane...hit the jumper, get to the foul line, and most of all make clutch baskets...some great players dont have that ability to be clutch ala Tmac, but Kobe does and I think that is what makes him the best in the league right now.
Geez....talk about clutch in response to pressure. He really is one of the greatest, he's having problems yet always seem to play well at the best times. Big props to you Kobe, I wish you to be the Finals MVP, show Shaq's *** that his ASG MVP ain't nothin'.
Kobe is mosdef the MAN. He was all over the place last nite playing D, dishing the ball, going to the hoop & hitting big shots when they matter most. But Luke was amazing a rookie who hasn't played much in the playoffs coming in and turning the game around not just once but twice! All can say is LUUUUUUUKE!!! I hope we'll be seeing alot more of him in game 3.
I'm not a fan of Kobe but he is a clutch basketball player. Damn his confidence. That was a great swoosh.
His play this playoffs has made me a fan of his game. i used to be hater but now I have no leverage to hate on him. This guy has it all. I'm by no means a Kobe diehard now but I will still support him through his rough times. That shot was simply amazing.
In my book, Kobe deserves to be compared to MJ now. What do you guys think about the Kobe/MJ comparison?
ahh..I was going to talk trash about Kobe clutch lovers...because of those stats I saw 4 - 27 in the 4th quater in the playoffs or something like that..but it was really bad.. Then he made that shot and I was like damn it now I can't say that..lol anyways that was a lucky shot...IT WONT HAPPEN IN MO-TOWN BABY!!! Anyways , anybody saw that block by nasty Ben Wallace against Shaq?
