<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jason Kidd will perform a series of basketball exercises today to test his problematic knee and determine whether he will need knee surgery that could put him out at the start of the season. By the end of the week, Kidd will know whether he will need surgery to clean out bone and cartilage in his left knee. Rehabilitation would be three to four months. "If we do the surgery, we'll do it as soon as possible to give me time to do the rehab to make sure I'm ready to go by training camp," Kidd said. "We've talked to a lot of doctors. It's a long, tedious rehab. The surgery is easy. The rehab is the hardest." </div> New York Times

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting lil nba:</div><div class="quote_post">Kidd needs to have the surgery so philly can take the top of the Atlantic division. Have the surgery kidd</div> hmm..not really with the proper veteran pg signed to the minimum like say a (Charlie Ward or somebody) with their current group can stay in the race until Kidd comes back. Jefferson excepted the role of stepping up last year when Kidd went down I expect him to do the same next year. Rob Thorn said that alot more of the offense would be ran thru RJ for the entire season anyway. So without any major setback to their roster the Nets should still be in position to win the Alantic when Kidd does return. Its not like their are any teams that are going to runaway with the division title. As I see it right now, without any major adjustments to their roster, everyone in the division will struggle to make .500 outside of the Nets.
