Wow 2400 yards yards rushing that is a difference of 1800, that more than makes up for the 13000 yards less passing. His 10 extra rushing tds makes up for the 100 more TD passes manning has. It must be all about the weapons. That is why manning has way more control of his offense at line of scrimmage, not becuase he has a better grasp of the offense than most O-coordinators, but cuz of his "weapons". The reason Mcnabb doesnt get that kind of control is cuz he doesnt have the weapons. finally, yes mcnabb makes plays with his legs, but manning would have audibled to a play that was better and got rid of the ball faster so he didnt have to run around, it happens every single week. Mcnabb has the #1 reciever in the league statistically, and 2 recievers left over from last years 3200 yard preformance, as well a westbrook who is good pass catching back, so why isnt he close to mannings numbers this year? why does he not have the same kind of control manning has over play calling. Yes he is good, probably top 3, but the gap between 1 and 2-7 is the grand canyon
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Philly_Freak93)</div><div class='quotemain'>i hope ur all saying peyton manning is better than DM because he is, eli isnt</div> Yes we are talking about peyton, not eli. Some of us seem to think DM is better than peyton, I am not one to put people down, but the people who think this are blinded by silver and green.
I've thought McNabb was the best for 3 years, alot of thoughts would be different before this year and Peyton's record setting year (which I think he definetly will). Look, there is no stat to really measure anything. I threw in that rushing stat to show his ability to run, I wasn't necessarily saying it made him a better QB just because of the difference. I did say before I couldn't really give you a stat. I still think, if McNabb had as much time to develop in the colts offense like Peyton, he would do just as good if not better. Peyton's amazing, but so is McNabb, but in my opinion I'd much rather have McNabb behind the center than Peyton. Without any guys that can catch the ball, I'd have McNabb. With guys that can catch the ball, I'd have McNabb. He just brings more to the table. I'm scared to death of Peyton, but if I was an AFC team fan, I'd be scared of McNabb alot more. Hell, I wanted the eagles to draft Ricky Williams, but I'm much more happy with McNabb. I understand Peyton's skill, I was a quarterback for 12 years, I know what it takes. Personally, I think that being able to scramble like McNabb is more vauluable than reading a defense like Peyton does. If you can scramble like McNabb, you don't need to read defenses as much at the line of scrimmage. People WILL get open if you can move around for 7+ seconds. Reading a defense before the snap is great, but scrambling to let your WR's get open is just as valuable. Whether or not you can make the read to change the routes for a quick pass doesn't matter if you have the ability to give yourself 10+ yards from the nearest defender. Just my opinion
Bottom Line: Manning has more Td Passes this year vs the NFC than Mcnabb does, and he plays in the AFC
