Heard his mom on the radio today here in Toronto, saying that vince isnt happy about new GM, he was backing the Dr.J hiring... hmmm, i think trading Vince is actually a good idea! Id trade him straight up for the Matrix... My question is, what can the raps get back for Vince? http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentSe...ol=970081562040
This is interesting. I've never though about Vince Carter leaving Toronto. Now that there is possibility of that happening, this off-season is going to get even more interesting. There are various teams that come to mind that Vince Carter would be able to help out. The first team that comes to mind is the San Antonio Spurs. Since Tracy McGrady recently said that he isn't too interested in leaving the Orlando Magic, Vince Carter would be someone to turn to. He's a guarantee 20-Point scorer which is something the Spurs need outside of Tim Duncan. Although, Vince is injury prone, he'll be less vulnerable to an injury since he won't have do as much with Duncan on the team.
Parker? Maybe Parker and Manu, but Parker no way. I'd like to trade him to the Suns for Marion, they need a guy that will bring in money, and attract fans, and the Matrix would be a good addition for us.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Maybe Parker and Manu</div> That might be a little too much, especially for a player who’s been injury prone throughout his career. I would give up Manu and Hedo Turkgolu or Malik Rose for Vince Carter and a draft pick (If Possible).
Vince to Orlando, to join his cousin. Maybe for Juan Howard, Lue and all 2nd round pick. Nice, with Vince, Mac and Howard or Okafor.

Toronto would get ripped off anyways. T-Mac didn't want to play with Vince before anyways, what's changed?
Wow. That doesn't mean he's available for trade, he's one of the top players in the league though, so no trading him for Shawn Marion or Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli, the Raptors could do a lot better than that.
I think these rumours are completely unfounded unless Vince Carter comes out and says himself that he wants to be traded. Until then I won't even bother commenting on this.

these are just rumors so there is nothing to be worried about. Carter has not yet publically stated that he wants out. Until then i won't post like CourtVision
I wouldn't mind VC to Philly for AI, I'd love to see Philly. If you think about it there contracts are are within the 15% earnings that the league requires on all trades. I'd love to see an exciting dunker as well as quality player in Philly for once.
I think Marion is a great value for VC, and if anyone doesn't wana do the trade it would be the Suns, who do not want to get rid of an important building piece.

He's also been rumoured to possibly not be starting next season and if his injury doesn't progress his career could be in danger.

T-Mac grew up..had the chance to be the #1 option..win scoring titles...do everything in a team...now he is growing up and realizing maybe is not that bad to be the 2nd option(even tough I think he would still be the 1st option) , however Vince is a SG/SF .. and the only position besides SG I would say I'm happy with (if Garrity is back healthy) is the SF position..so We'll probably trade Juwan Howard and Keith Bogans(Juwan would have to be included because of his big contract..) and I don't wanna give Bogans up because he might be the next Ron Artest but this lineup would be sick: PG - Free Agent(T-Hud mayb) or Pick or trade/T-Lue/Reece Gaines SG - T-Mac/DeShawn Stevenson SF - Vince Carter/Bogans or Garrity/Hill... PF - Drew Gooden/ZaZa Pachulia or 2nd rounder.. C - Okafor/2nd Rounder and or DeClerq.. Tell me that isn't a killer line-up.. Maybe including Juwan Howard , Garrity , Reece Gaines and the 1st Second rounder..
Trading Vince would be a great think for Toronto, they should build around Bosh and marshall. Vince is not really a ballplayer, just a showman. Thats the way I see it.
Actually, I'm not sure if T-mac's grown up at all, he's game has. But he dosen't want to be a leader, BUT he wants the ball like a leader of the team.
^ that's what I think too. T-Mac's basketball skills have gotten better but sometimes I question his maturity. He pouts when things are not going his way and doesn't always show up on defence. He'll always want to be the star on the team. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Knicks Analyst:</div><div class="quote_post">Trading Vince would be a great think for Toronto, they should build around Bosh and marshall. I think the injuries have made him realize that the most important thing is to make the best play for the team. He's starting to increase his assist totals and be more of a team player now.
I'm hoping he'd consider the Timberwolves, simply because he could replace Scerzbiak in the starting lineup. I wouldn't want him to be on near talentless teams because then he'd be in the same boat as AI, Pierce and TMac. How about the Knicks?
