The sports casters say when Lakers Lose, that the Lakers must be having problems. But when the Lakers win, it was because they played hard. They don't credit the Pistons for working and their defense for the win, they just say oh, the Lakers were awful today or something like that.
Thats how most bandwangoners are. Well let me rephrase that, no I had it right. When there is a good "winning team", thats when they play hard, but when they "loose" problems. Point blank tonight the Pistons did what no team could do in my opinion and thats STOP Shaq from getting to the free throw line, and prevent Kobe from getting easy shots. Tayshun guarded him very well, and the will make excuses.. For example: Malones Knee, Shaqs Foul Troble, Kobe being tired etc... Bascially most casters are like everybody else if a team is winning, they are the greatest team..

Like on abc, ESPN, nba sites, radio, and magazines. Its bull, they should just give credit where it deserves. Like Kobe's 3 the other day,I didn't go around talking about the ball was controled or it was Jordan's spirit.
What sports shows are you watching? Because all I've heard is everyone giving credit to Detroit's defense, as they should. After game one teams were shocked but not worried, but since that game all I've heard is everyone giving all the credit for the Lakers' offensive struggles. This is an unbelievable performance defensively by the Pistons, and I've never seen a team work so hard at doing all the little things. The Pistons work hard on every play, and that is leading to their success. The Lakers on the other hand have always been a sort of lazy team, and the Pistons are taking full advantage of that.
^ I think all that he offers is commentary from someone inside the game who knows what's going on, because he's an NBA coach. He isn't that good of a commentator though, and sometimes his repeated use of phrases like "he REALLY is" in response to something that Al Michaels says really pisses me off. If you haven't heard him say that, listen to the next game; I guarantee you hear it at least 4 or 5 times. Al- The Pistons are a good defensive team. Doc- You know, Al, they REALLY are.
I have been saying this for a while. I hate it. When the Lakers win its because they played to their potential but when they lose its because they didn't care enough. The Pistons absolutely dominated the Lakers in Game 3 and has controlled this series for the most part. The Lakers are simply out matched and Phil Jackson is getting exposed and out coached by a true HOFer Larry Brown.

They should've fouled Shaq when he got the ball. That cost them the game dearly. Anyways, yeah, the media is biased with the Lakers. I notice that when a bad call is whistled against Lakers, it's rarely shown on the replay. They do show it, but not as often as if the other team has committed it. Also, it is really OBVIOUS to everyone that if someone from the Lakers team made a great play, they ALWAYS show it on replay, make a big deal out of it, bla bla bla but if the other team made a great play they might show a replay of it and not make a big deal out of it. And of course, the tv networks always show the Lakers players more often than the other teams. That's just so obvious it's obnoxious. Now I'm not a Laker hater (I live in LA) and I actually want them to win just because they're my hometown team but I'm really sick of how the media is in love with the Lakers and doesn't show everyone else as much/often as the Lakers.
I will openly admit that the Lakers played like crap last night because of the Pistons defense. That defense was amazing. They played great on Shaq and did so without fouling, because, I believe he only attempted 3 free throws. The defense on Kobe was phenomonal. 1 point in the first half and that was on a free throw because of a 3 second violation. His first 3 points from the line. The starting Laker backcourt had something like 11 points, I'm not totally sure. But, the defesnse was great. Contested every shot and didn't give Shaq a chance. Question to Rudeezy: Are saying that Phil Jackson is not deserving of the Hall Of Fame?
Yea, Phil Jackson is a lucky bastard, he just had MJ and now he got Shaq and Kobe, that's the only reason he's won so many rings.

But you got to give Brown credit for getting his team so well prepared for game 3 after a devastating game 2 loss and simply out coached Phil.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Moo2K4:</div><div class="quote_post">Question to Rudeezy: Are saying that Phil Jackson is not deserving of the Hall Of Fame?</div>No I'm not saying that. I was just implying that there is a reason why Larry Brown is already in the HOF. He is a better coach than Phil period.

I remember when Rasheed got that alley all they said was the Lakers need to play better defense next time around. Now if that was L.A. and Kobe was dunking it would've been like OMG what an amazing dunk and what not. It pisses me off when they do that. And they get paid for it too. Nonsense. That's all it is IMO.

The people covering this game are pro-Laker, it's blatantly obvious and a disservice to how well the Pistons have been coached and played in the series. The Lakers are playing poorly, but the Pistons are a big part of it, and they deserve more credit for their tremendous team play, desire, and defense.

I think Larry did a phenomenal job in game 3 and IMO is at least as good of a coach than Phil is. Sure Phil won his titles with great coaching but he also happen to have one of the best player ever to play the game in MJ and then now he has Shaq and Kobe. IMO Larry would've been a more deserving HOFer than Phil.
