I was just wandering has anyone ever thought of what type of team the Mavericks could be if they made trade's this off-season, that would allow them to become a more team oriented team based around Nowitski and Nash.

I mean with all the people on their roster, I believe the Mavericks could really be awesome next year, if they decided to develop a team that was more based on team chemistry, offensively and defensively.

I was just wandering what were everyones thoughts on this subject.

They could get very good defensive players for: Jamsion, Walker and one of the big three, which I dont see Cuban trading.

Jamison is one of those one dimensional players that are hard to trade during the offseason even though he won sixth man award. Think about this, the teams that are struggling offensively are the same teams that are trying to keep their young core together and therefore won't take on Jamison's contract until they can sign those players first. And then with trying to match the contracts up in a trade it is tough. Like San Antonio could definitely use him but they're trying right now to land Kobe and retain their existing players like Ginobili, Bruce Bowen, and possibily Turkogolu. I think Walker probably has more upside because he can spread the floor at PF and he's all around and I think he comes off the books quicker. So look for Walker to be gone for somebody that can play Center or Power Forward. Personally I think Dallas needs a defensive center and a defensive small forward so they can swap out and have Dirk play a little bit of the 4 since he can spread the floor and take opposing defenders off the dribble. Plus maybe a backup guard that can exel in transition and is really fast. I'm thinking Earl Boykins because of his steals and quickness. But his defense is going to be questioned because of his height. But hey not like anyone on the roster put the "D" in Dallas eh? [IMG] Well Finley/Daniels/Wahad/Howard are all right defenders. I guess I meant low post defenders.

Hey what about Stromile Swift and filler for Jamison.? Not quite the scorer, but delivers rebounding, athleticism, and he can block shots.
