I think it is a good move. Jeff George will struggle to learn the offense quickly, but he has never had a problem throwing the ball. He will throw the ball much better at 50 years old than Quinn can now. You can say it is a measure of desperation, but I question why they would expect Quinn and Krenzel to back up such a young and somewhat unproven starter anyway, besides the injury. I think Grossman is OK, but... Maybe Lovie didn't expect the Bears to be as competitive as they were this first year and was perhaps saving some cap space for a better run next year.
I think it's a good move. One thing is for sure, it can't hurt them.Is he going to start right away? You know, the best way to jump start a young QB is to play him against the Vikes. The Giants screwed that up with Eli. You want to get a young guy some confidence, just start him against the Vikes. So sad, and so true.
You know, the Vikings can make a QB look great on both sides of the ball...Jeff George looked great when he was the QB for the Vikings and will probably look like Marino when he plays against the Vikings. The Minnesota Vikings: a QB's dream.
I heard Chad Hutchenson sp? is going to start this week. He might earn himself another week of starting!
I truly am a Vikings fan...I should be excited about this, but instead I find myself nervous at the thought that we might be embarrassed. Ugh.
From ESPN's Power Rankings Comments: "Say what you want about Jeff George, but he could be playing left-handed and he'd be better than Jonathan Quinn." Ouch...
Hey, with any luck maybe my BEARS can bring CHANDLER back next {JK}. I don't think we could do worse than we have now so why not at least try. Good luck guy's and GO BEARS!!!!
