even penny? he was their best player in the playoffs and has given a lot to the team. thats a little suprising to me. but i guess because of his age and everything.
I'm disappointed in Zeke's decision to leave Hardaway unprotected. He brought a spark to the team, especially in the playoffs. Despite his large contract and his age, it's the Knicks. What's new?

He was GREAT for us, but not worth HALF of his pay(I think it was along the lines of 13M) Anyway, this is an obvious list. So glad Isiah is leavin H20 vulnerable.
Penny's age combined with his injury history & contract means that itsa slim to non chance that the bobcats will take him. Isiah did what he wa surpose to do, he left three over paid players unprotected. If the Bobcats take anyone ofthe three it will be a major lift to the Knicks cap. Steph, Frank Williams, Mike Sweetney were Thomas' major concerns to protect, everybody else was secondary imo.

The Bobcats are after younger, underpaid players with a lot of potential to build a team around. They are unlikely to take older, overpaid players unless they are very good compared to the guys available for the Bobcats. If any of the unprotected guys fron the Knicks get taken by the Bobcats, New York will have gotten a better salary cap. Part of the reason they're unprotected is the Knicks think the Bobcats wont take them, and IMO they're right.
