No link but a few days ago I heard on the radio that Dennis said in a recent interview a team wants him to play for them next season. Who was the question.. but a few days later on a local sports show It was mentioned Rodman would be on the Knicks summer league team and If he impressed Isiah would then give Rodman a spot on the roster.

Of course this is not offical but It was mentioned, It wouldn't surprise me to see Thomas sign Rodman up. They were two very important members of the bad boys title run, so I'm sure there is still friendship there in some way.

it was a while back now.. but i was watching an espn special on how rodman has totally changed.. he had a personal trainer and was working hard to get back into the league, quite old yet it was a very interesting program on how he was attempting to change his approach to life. After watching it i was hoping to see him pop up. Though hes older and of course not as effective it would be great to see him playing at a high level.. especially in NYC! Hope Isiah hooks it up!

didnt last yr he mention he wanted to play for the lakers, nets, kings and denver was interested. i wouldnt be suprised if he went to the bobcats b/c he wants in so badly. i hope him the best b/c i love his play on the court and can help a team in the rebounding department but the locker room and chemestry might get ruined with him. if your a championship-calibur team, its too big of a chance. he could fit in NY but with all the changes that have been made with a new coach and new players, i think it is best for knicks not to get rodman. they need to build their own chemestry so they can be stable for the future. rodman isn't a future plan for anyone, he is a help-me-now plan. maybe mavs would pick him up, he does play defense and could maybe take them over the hump with a fa pickup. wouldnt be suprised if cuban got him.

I dont know about ths one. From a fan stand point I have always found Rodman extremely entertaining. But I also know Dennis Rodman might not be the best thing for a team like the Knicks right now. The Knicks have went thru to many distractions over the past few years. From coaching problems to injury problems. The Knicks need to settle down & stray away from anymore possible distractions. And once again become a productive basketball team.

I mean the Knicks have already said they want Vin Baker to comeback. And we all know that due to his drinking battle, he can become a major distraction in a drop of a hat(as he proved with the Sonics & then again with the cetlics last year). And now Thomas is thinking about bringing in a another potenial distraction like Dennis. He could be setting NY up to become a circus during the season if things start going wrong. So Thomas needs to be a little careful with some of his signings. new York is still a fragile franchise from the way Scott Layden destroyed the place. But it will be interesting to see Rodman balling on their summer league team. If he plays well he may gain interest from a team he is more suited to fit right. I know Dennis Rodman could still be productive on the boards. But he just to risky for the Knick to take a chance on realistically.

I would love to see Rodman back in the League Iam just not sure NY is right for him.Or if he is right for NY.

He was on The View, a women conversation show and he said he was going to be in the NBA next season. When asked specifically if he would be on the Knicks he said no. Maybe it was a lie and maybe he will be with the Knicks.

Its cool the Knicks are going to let him play on the summer team. If he proves that he can still ball then we keep him, Rodman in his day was nasty plus he could get into people heads. I'd also like the things that he could help Sweetney with, on the court that is.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In case you missed his recent Motion segment on ESPN.com, Dennis Rodman checked to give us his best Ivan Chiriaev, insisting his NBA career is not over despite lackluster reviews of Rodman's brief stint in the minor-league ABA last season.

"Watch out for the Rodmonian," he said. "I am coming back, and the NBA needs me back."

At 43, Rodman concedes that he has lost some of the lift and explosion that made him one of the greatest rebounders in the game's history at just 6-8. But he has a wish list of teams anyway, saying he'd love to play for the Lakers, San Antonio, Dallas, Sacramento or New York.

"A half step (lost)," Rodman said, "is (still) better (than) most guys in the NBA now." </div>

Seems like NY is the best fit for him right now.

Isn't Rodman bigtime out of shape? I seen that thing on him on ESPN and his life seems all messed up right now. He looked really bad, he was drinking, smoking, and looked like he didn't even want to come back. Tell you the truth, I think Rodman is a distraction and no team should even try that route, even if they are down in the board dept.

By the way I love the Sig, Martin.
I could deal with Gordon, haha.

Actually he was recently on the best damn sports show he has worked him self back into shape playing for the long beach team and he has been sober for 6 months and has lost a lot of pounds he said he didnt do it just cause he wanted to come back to the nba but for his family he wanted to be there for them and change so I think he could be a good influence on a team and if the knicks took a shot on vin baker sign d-rod to a one year deal and see how it works out you never know he could be the missing peace for a finals push
