I think Telfair is doing the right thing. He's got a great future ahead of him and will be a great player later in his career. But, I think Delonte West is making a huge mistake. He may be a great player, but, he's nowhere near ready. Also, he's declared himself eligible likely knowing that he is probably a 2nd round pick. I think there is a lot he could have done with a final year in college.
Delonte West has a chance at being an All American next year, but instead will just be lost in the 2nd round. Trevor Ariza should have stayed at UCLA. Even for the bruins he didn't do much this year, and now he thinks he can play in the pros?
Livingston has gained a lot of weight and is now at 190 pounds, a great improvement. I think he made the right decision, I've said all along that he was the best point guard in his class despite all the Telfair lovers trying to make a case otherwise. I like Telfair as a player, but he shouldn't be in the draft. He has game, sure, but he has been severly overrated due to the fact that he has bloodlines with Stephon Marbury. Smith might be thinking about Marvin Stone, another Louisville alum. Stone decided to stay all four years and was passed up despite his talent. I thought Stone could have helped some team, but apparently the NBA disagrees with me (not saying that's wrong or anything). Nate Robinson pulled out for sure.

THe further he moves away from NYC, the less people would have cared for a marginal player with a superstar hype machine. Telfair is Omar Cook, good handle, great passer, NO shot, defensive liability. Cook has finally gotten back into the league. Telfair will stay in the league because he generates interest even from the bench considering Adidas paid BIG dollar for his street cred to sit at the end of an NBA bench. Don't you think that if Portland or Boston (the only teams interested) weren't feeding into the hype machine, that Adidas would become involved with teams to protect their investment?
Trevor Ariza...He would have benefited tremendously if he stayed at least 2 more years...he's nowhere near ready, he's a small foward who can't shoot, or really handle the ball...he can't post because of his thin stature....all those can be improved if he stays in school....I'll be surprised if he gets drafted

Players like Trevor Arize, Marcus Taylor and Tito Maddox could all have stayed in college for at least one more year and be a first round pick. Now, they just go into obscurity when they could have been impressive prospects in the future.
