Rashid's comment about winning game 2 against the pacers was made to be HUGE, but the Pistons did pull it out for Wallace. Unfortunately for the Lakers, I don't see anyone willing to play hard enough to defend a teamate's statement like Kobes.
I don't know what you guys think, but Kobe said "We will win game 5" not "I will win game 5." It doesn't matter who steps up big for the Lakers, if it's Kobe, great. If it's Shaq, great. IT DOESN'T MATTER. The Lakers win as a team and lose as a team, and he said it for the team and not himself. EDIT: You would think a Detroit fan would know how to spell Rasheed's name

Well it is possible. No team has ever won the championship down 3-1 and no team has ever one their 3 home games in the 2-3-2 format. It'll be good. I hope the Pistons win though. Please end it tonight!!
The pistons will win tonight they will win by 5 87-82 and the only chance the lakers have to win if they just feed the ball to shaq every play then they might have a chance to win
I think it's going to be interesting. I hope someone outside of Kobe and Shaq appear tonight so the Lakers have a chance. They desperately need a role player to step up tonight. If not, series over, Detroit wins. If someone like Fisher, Payton, Malone, anyone like that steps up, it could become a series again. Now is when you'd think that Payton or Malone would step up thought. This is why they came here. If they want it so bad, they need to step up and help out Kobe and Shaq.
ha, we'll just see who wins. I would like to see what kobe says if they lose tuesday. even though everyone says "they're at home and they will win, but they lost the first game and i think it will make no differnce.
The Pistons are in the driver's seat with the Larry at their side and hoping that they won't have to go back to LA for a whipping. Pistons will do everything they can to win tonite before the home crowd. Lakers will be very aggressive on offense and defense. The Shaqster will rumble the rim with dunks and rebound like a machine, for another amazing nite, Kobe will make his unbelieveable shots that will leave the crowd in awe. That will not be enough without the help of the other Lakers who haven't showed up to play these last 4 games. Kobe and the rest of the Lakers will play like there isn't no tommorrow which is true if they don't win. The Lakers have been fighting an uphill battle all this season so why is tonite any different? GO LAKERS
Kobe also said he would stay faithful, not everything he says happens. Lakers need Payton to bring some kind of game otherwise there will be celebrations all night long in the streets of Detroit. To get outplayed in 13 out of a possible 16 quarters hardly gives you the impression It will suddenly change and L.A will turn this series around.
Tonight will we see Kobe eat his words or be the reason that the Lakers will win Tonight??? Can't wait to see what happens
I think the Pistons will pull it out tonight, at first I thought the Lakers were goin to win in 5 but the Pistons might win in 5 what an upset, looks like defense wins championships.
Kobe gaurentees victory.........uh......uh........PPPPFFFFWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHaHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! all the comparisons to jordan END NOW
^ you're a really classy guy.. out of all the posts I've seen in these finals I would have to say yours are the most inappropriate and disrespectful ones. Players SHOULD be guaranteeing wins in those situations, it's called confidence. Kobe was wrong and the Lakers lost, but to a team that obviously worked a lot harder than them.
Right or wrong of a demanding statement, it's good to see players showing heart and determination for the game. Again, this is what the NBA should be all about.

"I'm telling you right now," Bryant said. "We'll win Tuesday." EAT IT KOBE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EAT IT !!!!!!!!!!! :dancepart
First of all, he was supposed to say that. What else would he say? That Detroit was going to win? Kobe just talked like any ordinary NBA player and said what he had to say.
