Is anyone more excited than me that the Championship Trophy may be won by an Eastern Conference team this year? The west has ruled this league since Jordan and the Bulls, and this seems like centuries ago. I like the west and the excitment they bring to the league but I feel that the eastern conf. gets no respect at times. At times I kinda felt bad for the eastern teams that work so hard to get to the finals and just flop by getting smoked in the championship series. Well anyway, what do you people think? Excited or not? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

It will be nice for a change. I'm a Western Conference fan but I would like to see a balance in powers.

No, I want the Miami Heat in the finals, not Pistons. Miami deserves it more then anyone in the East. They came up from no where and almost beat the Pacers. I'm sorry but i'm not the least bit excited about the Pistons. There are many treams that deserve it more then the Lakers and Pistons.

That's really bold. Miami deffinatly is not better than Detroit or Indiana.

I think next year, or the coming years, they will be a force, and somewhere down the line they will be contending for a title. This year, no.

I think this is a nice change of pace for the NBA. We need some ballance, and I think if the west stays dominate like they do, that they will be challenged by up and coming teams like Indiana, Miami, and Cleveland. And teams already ready to challenge, Detroit. The east is not far away from being contenders. It's just taken somewhat of time to get back there, with the West having dominate players and dominate teams.

I still would rather have Indiana or any other team then Detroit. I would like to see Indiana and Timberwolves go at, two best records in the NBA going at it, now thats what I call a finals.

I thought at the begining of the year it would be Indiana and Minnesota, and to tell you the truth, I would rather see that myself. But you cannot deny the fact that Detroit deserves it.

Infact a Minnesota/Indiana Series would go seven games, they are so evenly matched.

Ditto...I'd root for any NBA West Team in the Finals..except for the Lakers, but hey a balance in powers should happen, and why not detroit..besides Larry Brown's a great coach, and deserves to have a Championship Win on his resume

    Go Pistons!

The east are on an uprise, thats for sure. A lot of teams are just waiting to explode or are in positions where they might need small improvements. The Nuggets, Heat, and Pacers are all examples of that. But I would love to have the east come through, especially over a west dynasty in an upset.

Anyone who does not think Detroit deserves this title obviously has not watched basketball the past 6 weeks. They outworked all their opponents and wanted it more. They do have quite a bit of talent and Brown has done a great job tailoring the team to its talents. I still feel the West is best as a Conference but the Pistons are this years NBA best. May the offseason bring hope for next season for everyones teams. Congrats Detroit.
