Not over untill the fat lady sings (whatever that means). I guarantee game 5 will go down to the wire, as Kobe will hit the game winner and shock Auburn Hills. If they win game 5, I doubt the Pistons will win both game 6 and 7 because it's being played in Los Angeles, and the Lakers are virtually immortal on their turf. Don't even use the excuse that the Pistons won game 1. The Lakers were mortal in game 1 compared to how they would perform in game 6 and 7 considering the massive burden and pressure on them from getting eliminated.

If Pistons lose game 5, they still only need to take one at l.a. ... they don't need both

Well...do i think the Lakers are done? as a piston fan, probably yeah but i fear the lakers will win game 5 for some reason. but all the pistons have to do is not lose a 3-1 defecit to the lakers. just take ONE in L.A. and yeah! champions!

No team in NBA history has EVER came back after being down 3-1 in the NBA Finals and there is absolutely no reason at all to suggest why the Lakers are going to be the first to do it.

This series is already over and the Detroit Pistons are the 2004 NBA champions.

STICK A FORK IN THEM. The Lakers are done. EVEN IF they win game 5, they won't win game 6. The Pistons are a fantastic basketball team and the lakers look broken.

The team without home court advantage has EVER won all three of their home games either. History doesn't mean anything in this series.

Wow, after everything that has happened, people STILL don't give respect to Detroit. "They won't win another game in LA." Why is that? Is it because the Pistons dominated game 1 in LA? Or is it because Kobe was forced to hit a 3-pointer to tie the game in game 2? I guess the pistons have sucked in LA... considering they've NEVER been behind after regulation time in LA. Wow, the Pistons just can't seem to perfrom in LA.... Be serious, the Pistons have shown they can play here, there, or anywhere unlike the lakers who cant perform at anywhere. Anyone who claims "The Pistons won't win a game in LA if they lose in Detroit" stop being ignorant. The Pistons have dominated the Lakers every-single-game-of-the-whole-NBA-2004-Finals-Series. I just can't WAIT to hear the Detroit Crowd tomorrow.

    "KO-BE'S GUI-LTY.

Sucks for Kobe, loses 2004 championsip and then faces jail-time.

Its funny everybody thinks that Phil Jackson is working or complaining about calls to the ref to get some calls coming up in game 5 but realistically he is complaining to get all the calls in LA in games 6 or 7, so for that reason alone the Pistons need to close it out tommorrow.

Kind of out of line there, don't you think? That has nothing to do with this series, so why the hell would you go personal against Kobe? Real class there. [IMG]

Those comments are totally out of line. If you wanna bash kobe, do it in a kobe thread. Wrong place to do it here.

Anyways, back to the topic... I do not think the Lakers are done... These are the same Lakers that people counted out after being down 2-0 to the Spurs w/ no homecourt advantage. They went on to win 4 straight. Here, they only need to win 3, and have the home court if they can make it out of Detroit tommorrow. However, I do hope to see the Pistons win the title... I will be cheering hard for them, but wouldn't be shocked if the Lakers pull it out. They've faced adversity many times before.

This series isn't over. LA are a team that can start winning at any time. When they were down 2-0 to San Antonio, how many of you thought they could come back and win 4 straight? The chances of them coming back and winning are small, but as long as there's a chance, they can do it. If they can win game 5, they have two home games left, and they are strong at home(even though they almost went 2-0 down after 2 home games).
Edit: Jiggax23, I wasn't trying to copy your post [IMG] . Great minds think alike. [IMG]
