as u shud no, david hawkins is from temple, and hes not projected to be selected in the draft. but jim obrien said he can definitely be a nba player, is he really worth a mid-late second round pick?

No he is not. He is a player that could possibly be a walk on bench player for someone in the league, but he is no 2nd rd pick. There is too much talent and potential in the draft to take him. If the 76ers try and get him I'll be upset, it will just remind me of the time they tried to sign Mark Karcher from Temple. Karcher was nothing special and I hate when the 76ers try to get guys just because of Philly relations. Don't get me wrong Hawkins is a tough player and a proven scorer but please NO SIXERS !!!
