<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sam Cassell had successful arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to repair torn cartilage in his hip, and his agent said the Minnesota Timberwolves point guard will recover in plenty of time for training camp. He opened each of the Timberwolves' first two playoff series with 40-point games, but the hip injury flared up during Minnesota's second-round matchup with the Sacramento Kings, causing back spasms that eventually forced him off the floor. Cassell was in too much pain to suit up for the Timberwolves' last two games against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals. He played just one minute in Game 2 and five minutes in Game 4. Without him, the Wolves lost that series 4-2. Cassell needs six weeks of rehabilitation, which includes swimming, walking and biking. He'll resume weight training after that and should be able to run and cut on the court within two months, Tucker said.</div> Link
great 2 hear!! Cassell is going to be a huge part of next years run, which will hopefully go all the way this time.. they've gotten over that hump of playoff woes, now its time to go the full length and get a ring! its one of there last opportuinties with this unit as Spree and Cassell aren't getting any younger.. they both had great seasons this year however, and will continue to do so in 04-05 i believe! Hopefully T-hud will sign as well to have a strength backing up Sammy.
Now its time for Sammy to have a successful recovery. Hip surgery can sometimes lead to very slow recovery, & the risk of a slower recovery is even higher in Sam's case because his body isnt that of a 25 year old. It has alot of wear & tear on it. But at least he had the surgery right after the end of the season giving him a chane to recover quickly.

He would've been a huge part, but you're right, for our upcoming Season he's going to be real key, KG and Spree needed him, not to mention the fact that we should try to get a good backup PG who say....plays like BJax?

I think staying with Troy would be the best for right now. What the team really needs to do is quickly resign Hassell and he wants to stay in Minnesota. The Wolves want to keep the team intact for next season.

He started stepping up offensively also, remember our game 6 loss where he made that 3 that brought us close at the end? Btw, lovin' your new graphics, you have good taste in anime, Gundam.

He was very important in the playoffs when Wally was still out with injuries. And thanks for your comment on my graphics.
Its great to hear that it still pains me to think of what could have been had he stayed healthy only losing that series 4-2 without our all star point guard anyway cant wait to see him suit up again he is a huge part of this team and the city of minnesota. Just hope this injury doesnt come back later in the 2004-05 season like other players injures have hopefully in the 04 05 season we will have 3 all stars
