Derek Fisher is a restricted free agent...

I might be a little bias because he's my favorite Laker, but I sincerly hope he remians a Laker. Although his skills aren't up to par with the better pgs in the league, he's been the heart and soul of this squad for many years, he's always been a great guy, and a great Laker. In addition, he's one of the few Laker-grown products....

what do u guys think? Is it time for Fish to move on? or would u like to see him in a Laker uniform...

Fisher should retire as a Laker. I've never been a big Fisher fan, but he's the heart of this team and the veteran voice in the locker room. I just can't see him playing for anyone else. I just hope he doesn't get back his starting role.

Fisher is a great player. Probably the least known great point guard in the NBA. When do you hear people talking about him?
What's the point of putting him on the market? What's exactly the point? Is it because he's been with the Lakers too long, as he needs to find a new home? I honestly don't see a valid reason why he shouldn't be a Laker next season, to go along with Shaq.

Think like you guys. Fish belongs to la forever. Hes not gonna become big in another team. Ill accept him as a laker whatever he does, hes a hero after the spurs shot altho they lost the final games. Hes been great.

Although sometimes he makes the oppossing PG look like an All-Star, he should remain with the Lakers. Maybe learn a lil defense.

    Just like what Shape said,

D Fish has been the heart and soul of this Laker franchise for eight memorable seasons. And one of the things I like about him is he's a very humble individual. He doesn't seem to be proud or arrogant like his other teammates. Without Derek Fisher, we wouldn't even be competing in this year's NBA Finals. I just don't see him in another uniform than the LA Lakers. In his heart, he bleeds purple and gold. I'm sure the Laker organization will work out a new contract for him.

Fisher is great off the bench but needs to play more. I wish he would be in the starting lineup. I loved his comments last nite outside the Laker's locker room. I can't see him playing anywhere but LA.

He's a great guy? I never really knew anything about Fisher. I do however from what I've seen gained respect for him. He's a hustler, he works hard and never gives up, even when the odds are high, the chances are low, he gives it his all. He even plays pretty well at times, not exactly the starter he use to be, but he does well with what he does. He even respects others and knows his place, much like Ervin Johnson and Tyron Lue, I respect him because he doesn't mind the bench, he's all about the team.

I hope he stays in a Lakers uni. He belongs in one. It's like everyone has said, he's the heart and soul of this team. He is able to bring energy every night, whether it be off the bench or in the starting line up. Hopefully he's back next year. If he's not, that will be pretty crappy. I think he will be back next year though. He's an important part to the championship formula and hopefully we'll see him back in the starting line up next year also.

DFish will stay imo. He is still starting material and if GP dips DFish will regain his spot.

I agree, IMO Fisher is the classiest player in the league and I would only want to see him as a Laker. Although I get frustrated with him at times, I couldn't think of a better guy to have on a roster. I think he'll test the market, but come back as a Laker next season. As he said in the interview this has been like a 2nd home for him for the last 8 years and he loves the fans, and I think that's enough for him to want to stay.
