That's really all that can be said, the backcourt is terrible. Marcus Banks is not an NBA starter, and Ricky Davis should just join the And One tour full time.
if banks played he would lead the league in steals and would encourage the C's to run with his speed. davis is getting better and just wants to play. even if he is coming off the bench he would be helpful. regardless, raef needs to go and i guess you dont like danny ainge?

I have no idea what he's doing as a GM. If you've got a plan, go ahead and blow up a playoff team, but it doesn't look like he's got much of a plan. As far as Banks goes, I agree, great speed and quickness. But zero basketball I.Q. Same for Ricky Davis. Honestly, there isn't a real playmaker on the team, just a bunch of one on one players. It's a poorly put together team.
Moron? How about realist? First Off, Marcus Banks had a shaky rookie season, I'll admit that. But he has what it takes to be an NBA starter, for sure. Why would anybody that knows anything about NBA basketball make such a claim after just one season? What about his game don't you like? Besides usual rookie mistakes, the only problem I saw was an inconsistent jumper. Ranking #1 in Steals per 48 minutes in his rookie (doesn't get any calls) year is very promising. Now, If in 2 years, you still feel how you do about Banks, then I'll take you seriously. Secondly, Lafrentz isn't nearly as bad as you make him out to be, especially in the East. I think the difference between him and Walker is that Walker is a better ballhandler, but LaFrentz is a more disciplined player. You can keep Antoine and his 38% field goal percentage. I'll take Raef's 15 and 7 that he's capable of, shooting 46%. Again, he was injured 3/4 of the year, so if you still have a problem with him in 2 years, then I'll listen. As far as Ricky is concerned, what did he do wrong? (besides attempt a between the legs dunk?)His stats with the C's:14, 4, and 3, shooting 49% off the bench. A full year of that, and he owns the 6th Man award. Sure, you lost Battie (not the same player ever since he's had trouble with injuries), Williams (would have lost him anyway, unless we overpaid for him), and Brown (still hasn't shown any progress). So we lost talent that we were going to lose with nothing in return, a declining center, and a version of Ricky Davis that can't shoot nor get to the basket. I wouldn't call that "moronic." Maybe it's "moronic" that you left out Chris Mihm when you mentioned the trade. Mihm will be a better player than Tony Battie was or ever will be. Jim O'Brien? He wasn't going to be around for much longer anyway. Letting him go was bad for last season, but great for the team. Not having him around allowed the Celtics to get Doc Rivers, while he was available. It's also good to know you've given up on Kendrick Perkins after his 35 total minutes played last year. Ricky should play for the AND ONE tour? Seriously, have you ever watched a full basketball game? or just the highlights on Sportscenter? I'm guessing the later. There has been things that Ainge has done which I didn't like, but I'm not about to call him the "antichrist." He has been with the team for one year, I know better than to judge a GM on one year. It simply takes longer than that to build a great team.
First off, what Raef is capable of and what he will actually do are two entirely different things. And to think that Walker and LaFrentz are even close to similar is crazy. The only similarity is that both are big (6-9, 6-11) and can shoot from deep. Kendrick Perkins is a less-hyped version of Eddy Curry. Banks can't shoot a lick and can't pass. That doesn't make a starting point. I agree he's a hell of a ballhawk, but he's not going to take any pressure off of Pierce. Ricky Davis? He's a cancer everywhere he's been. Just because he tried real hard for half a season to fit in doesn't mean much to me, and scoring 14 per on a team with one offensive option isn't much for a guy that's supposed to be instant offense. Chris Mihm? You're kidding right? It's very convenient to just say, "well we were going to lose him anyway" about O'Brien and Williams, but it's probably not all that true.
You seem to hate everybody on the team. I just came to the conclusion that you are not really a Celtics fan, you are here posing as one to piss real Celtics fans off. I feel bad because I have fallen for your "act". From now on I will be ignoring your nonsense posts.

I'm not the type of fan to like somebody just because they're wearing my beloved green, nor am I the type of fan to hate somebody just because they aren't. I just wish they'd get some guys in that embodied what Celtic Pride is all about. Teamwork, hustle and an attitude that says "I'll gouge your eyeballs out to win this game." That ain't Ricky Davis or Raef LaFrentz.
