I don't think anyone the Wolves have to offer are even close to enough for Shaq. Obviously leaving out KG, Spree and Sam are too old and aside them there's really no one else the Lakers would even bother to listen for. Unless some huge blockbuster trade happens involving T-Mac too, I don't see this becoming even close to happening. DREAM ON!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KG-MVP:</div><div class="quote_post">First, i hope you read the post in the Rumor Mill (which is factual) If Kobe stays, Shaq goes. The Lakers would then build a new team around KObe. Wally,Kandi, and Hudson would be great for that. Now, its questionable if thye are worth Shaq(most Lakers fans will disagree) but if the Lakers are building a team around Kobe, that might be the ideal trade...</div> You've got to be kidding.. Do you honestly think that would even be considered? Kandi has been named as a "bust" his whole career, and even that contact he has right now is too much for him. Hudson is now often injured, and they don't want a shoot-first PG next to Kobe. Besides, now that Jackson is gone Gary will be staying. I like Wally a lot, but is also a joke if he's the best player being traded for the most dominant player in the league.

Them trading for Spree, Wally & Ervin Johnson would fill that bill. Sometimes, it isn't in landing a stud in a trade. It might be that they'd get their stud in the FA market.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sabretooth:</div><div class="quote_post">It's looking like Orlando will be the big guys next team.</div> I agree with that but I'd love seeing KG & Shaq teamed up together. BTW, I'd bet that Phil will follow Shaq into the Magic coaching picture.
Payton & Malone provided vocal leadership right to the bitter end. Even at halftime of Game 5, they were demanding to get traded to the Pistons.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sabretooth:</div><div class="quote_post">It's looking like Orlando will be the big guys next team.</div> I hope not even though Im sure he would do well in orlando he is older now and would only give them a couple good seasons. I am really pulling for the francis mobley and cato to orlando and tmac and howard to houston trade to go through. It is great for both teams and orlando gets to possible all stars and keeps there first overall pick.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KG-MVP:</div><div class="quote_post">Again, I hope yoiu know the facts. The Lakers a likely to trade Shaq...thye are hoping to keep Kobe and build a team around him. There, thats where those 3 example players and draft picks come in handy. Slap in the face? The Lakers are redoing the franchise, know your facts</div> Yes the Lakers will trade Shaq and unload that 30.4 million dollar contract he's owed for next year that will give us some financial stability, but to trade Shaq for draft picks that might blossom in the next 3-4 years is just ridiculous. If we are going to build a team around Kobe, we need players that are young, athletic, and entering their best years of their careers. We don't need scrapheap players like Wally, Olowokandi, or shoot-first rather than pass Troy Hudson. The Lakers are a proud winning franchise, and this organization won't settle for less.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Tahsmith:</div><div class="quote_post">that might be the most ignorant post ive ever seen</div> I dont find that post ignorent at all. He simple stated a few facts that can be deabatable. He is right on most of the things he stated unloading shaq will provide them with alot of financial room to manuver. Only thing I didnt agree with is what he said about hudson. He may be a shoot first pass second guard, but if we all remember correctly last time he was healthy in the 2002-03 he lite up the lakers averaging 20 points in there 6 game series eventually won by the lakers. I dont think that this trade would happen because one the contracts dont match, but the draft picks what im thinking it would be is no team will be good for ever so they could trade to the lakers a conventinal(sp?) first round selection which would allow the lakers if the twolves are ever a lottery team to take that pick basically picking were they could strike. In the end I dont think this trade will happen, but it weas just speculation.
i find it ignorant in the fact that he thinks the lakers are above everyone else in the league , if you have to rebuild you have to rebuild. You simply cannot have everything the way you want, get over yourself. Might i remind you about cedric ceballos
Uhhhhhhh no! Shaq ain't going no where!!!!!!!!!! He still has another year in his contract with the Lakers and he is going to spend that year with the Lakers. He'll probably leave after that because he doesn't want to be "overruled" by Kobe. I don't blame him. Don't get me wrong I love kobe but he got to much going on with his life to be tryin to "run" a team.

Most likely though he will be traded this off season because one everyone wants the most dominating player in the league. Two if he goes back to the lakers kobe probable wont. Three the lakers being the proud franchise they are wouldnt let the most dominating player in bball walk without getting anything in return.
Let's get some facts on the table. 1. Buss has told Mitch Cupcake to get rid of Shaq AT ALL COSTS & to rebuild around Kobe. 2. The Lakers won't get fair value for Shaq. That's just how superstar trades have worked in the past. See Wilt Chamberlain & Kareem's trades. Also, see Barkley's trade from Philadelphia. 3. This Laker team with the winning tradition won't be an elite team anytime soon, regardless of who they get for Shaq. 4. Losing Phil Jackson is a huge blow to the team. Without him coaching this past year, they wouldn't have had homecourt advantage, much less making the NBA Finals. With Kobe as the focal point of the offense & little else, they'll be lucky to win 45 games next year. With an unmotivated Shaq in the lineup for 40-50 games & the playoffs, they might win 50 but I wouldn't consider that a lock.

When did I ever say my Lakers were above everyone elses in the league? Or are you assuming that I think that way? That's pathetic man. Secondly, I do understand that if the Lakers have to rebuild, then we should do it the right way. But to trade Shaq and his 32.4 million dollar contract owed for next year, we better get some equal value or somewhere close to equal value, that's all I'm saying. Not hard to understand right?
it isnt wha u said bro its how u act, u know damn well u will never get fair value for shaq no matter who you get, im sorry that your lil run is coming to a end but face it the lakers will be rebuilding and in a major way just admitt it, it may even be a non playoff year <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post">Hold on a second now.
