<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Agent: Rasheed wants to be Knick. Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace, who becomes an unrestricted free agent July 1, still wants to play for the Knicks, his agent, Bill Strickland, said yesterday. "That's where he wanted to go from Portland and we tried like hell to get it done," said Strickland, adding it's too early to speculate on whether Wallace will sign with Detroit. "Don't get me wrong, I think they're a great group of guys that I'm playing with," Wallace said. "But my family, they are going to have the last decision." </div> Full Story
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ice:</div><div class="quote_post">Full Story</div> Personally I think sheed would be a great fit here but I would still want thomas as our Power forward he is always healthy solid as a rock and never has problems with managment mabye we could fit sheed in as our center we play in the east so size wouldnt be a problem I would love to have sheed on our team looking at what he did for detroit he could do it for us but not at the expense of thomas.
Wow sheed is a dumbie if he decides to go to new york. He just won a championship at detroit and he is getting paid good. I don't see any reasons to leave.
I doubt there is any legitimate chance of Rasheed coming to the garden. All this is, Is Rasheed's agent being an agent. He is making sure that his client has the upper hand in all contract talks with the Pistons. The Pistons might think that they have the upper hand now the Pistons won the championship, they are thinking " Why would Rasheed want to leave the world champions & a coach like LB(who Rasheed has a great relationship)". So the Pistons might try to get slick & offer Rasheed less then his asking price to insure they can re-sign both him & Okur. Well Rasheed Agent is making that statement to let the Pistons know it isnt a done deal, Rasheed is keeping his options open. This will make sure no funny business will come from the Pistons side. Buit Realistically Rasheed will be back with the Pistons next year, veery slim chance he will land anywhere else.
This is great news, it's been lingering for a while but I always love to know that there are advancements! THANK G-D!!!
Sheed's agent is trying to get the most out of Detroit as possible, I'm sure Sheed isn't dumb enough to sign with the Knicks and I'm sure his agent won't settle for the MLE.

Plus Wallace is one of his best buds in the NBA. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Sheed's agent is trying to get the most out of Detroit as possible, I'm sure Sheed isn't dumb enough to sign with the Knicks and I'm sure his agent won't settle for the MLE.</div> Yeah, I remember you saying he won't be paid all that much there. Also what impact would he make here amongst people who demand so much time with the ball? Particularly Starbury, I once said I'd love for Kobe, 'Sheed and him to play alongside, boy was I stupid, it just wouldn't work.
Rasheed and Dennis Rodman don't make a bad duo at all. I'm still confused why Rasheed still wants to be a knick though.
It could be a family thing....but it would hurt the Piston fans to see him just get a ring and just leave knowing he had a choice to do a repeat. After all he said during the parade yesterday, it would be crazy for him to be a Knick...well maybe not since his wife makes the shots..
it would be cool to see sheed as a knick. But it would be a stupid move for him cause he has a legitimate chance of getting another ring with the Pistons. But now that he has a ring he might want to play for a team that he feels we would like to be part of.
Itd be great for him to come to NY but with the Pistons winning the championship i dont think so... But then again he said it himself its not really up to him its up to his family and if there comfortable with their home...
