I don't know the dirt on the subject... I've heard that Ray and Shard can't both play the same game at the same time on the same court (if that makes sense) and that one needed to go. Most of the criticism I've heard was of Shard not working post at all and always settling for the jumpshot. True? Is his game more respected by fans than Ray's? Obviously the criticism on Ray centers around his shot selection and going along with Nate's plan. What's the down low? Flip is awesome and Ray might not even be missed. Would the same be true of Radmanovic and Lewis if he got traded?
Rashard is a jump shooter. Ray is a jumpshooter. Unfortunately, without a legitimate post presence, it's very hard to stay cometitive with your two go to guys perimeter based, particularly in the West. Ray's shot selection can be questionable at times, while Rashard has a tendency to drift in and out of games. Both can co-exist, but they need a legitimate post presence down low. Unfortunately, both are also our most valuable trade assets, and no one's gonna give up a quality big man easily in today's NBA.
