Well its apparent to almost everyone now that most likely he will be traded this off season but my question is who could we get for him our most vulnerable position at this point is the 5. We have no one that would body up people like shaquille, Yao, and other big men in the west and be affective, nor do we have anyone that could provide us with a huge offensive lift. So my question is what big man on the market could we possible try and aquire for wally and possible a toss in of kandi since he didnt do anything for us this year. Could we try to mabye get thomas from the knicks. Since they have so many options at that position with sweetny, baker, and possible the signing of rasheed wallace if he desides to become a knick. Not to mention other players like muhammid (sp?) and mutombo who are big bodies that they could play at either one of the two positions. Possible we could target a trade with the bulls or someone for a young player like posssible a eddie curry or mabye possible aquire a vetern like antonio davis if he is taken by the bobcats in the expansion draft or stays with the bulls. Or of course a guy im sure we all want on our team swift possible doing a trade that would send wally to the griz for him. There are many possibilities what do you think will happen?
I don't think the Wolves will trade Wally. His season was shortened by injuries but still played well off the bench. I disagree that Olowokandi did nothing for the team. He was non-existant in the playoffs and was injured but he did play well in the last few games of the reagular season. He still has potential even if it's been some time thats his been in the league. IMO, the Wolves should probably keep the team intact. The players that are leaving are probably Oliver Miller and Darrick Martin. There are possibilities that some players will be traded but this team has great chemistry and plays well together.

So that would make him a free agent this year. I dont think we could get much for oliver miller he is 34 years old and averages 2 points and 2 rebounds a game unless a team is looking for a big body we probable couldnt get much for him. The reason I say that kandi hasent done anything for us is he was brought in to take the place of nestorivic and he didnt play well espcially for a 7 foot former first overall pick he has always had potential but its been a couple of years now a long time for him to develope, but he still does not show any improvement. He doesnt seem to me to really put in the work needed to improve his game. And imo always seems lost out there in the offensive game plan for us. But I do agree with you we have great team chemistry and shouldnt redo the team alot but we probable will make a few trades to improve our 5 position and it doesnt look like cassel, KG, or spreewell(if resigned) will leave anytime soon because they are the highest scoring trio in the nba. So our next best player that would get us a pretty good role player in a trade is Wally.

Thats what made them come up short of a championship. The current team, is not championship calibur. They need a strong center. That is why we need to give up Wally and/or Kandi to get a better center. Kandi and Ervin are nothing when they go up against big men like Shaq and Yao, so in order to go to the Campionship this next season, some of our men will need to be sacrificed to upgrade the 5-man.

There aren't alot of good centers in the league. Without the injuries, we might have beaten the Lakers. This team will have the best chance of winning next season with the players healthy. The Lakers are probably rebuilding and won't be championship contenders for now. Kings have been trying for a couple of years and haven't suceed. It?s doubtful they can make another serious run at a title. The Dallas Mavericks don?t have enough defensive mettle to enter the title chase. The Houston Rockets are promising, but unless they go out and acquire someone like Tracy McGrady ? and he wants to play there ? to significantly increase their talent level, they?ll go no further than the first or second round. In the East, it seems the Pistons, the defending champs are a contender, the Indiana Pacers and New Jersey Nets. Neither of these teams will overtake Detroit without a major roster addition. I love what the Miami Heat accomplished this year, but they?re not there yet. The 2 other strong contenders, imo, are Detroit and San Antonio. We don't have a great center who can compete with Yao and Shaq. But the Houston as a whole team aren't good enough to beat the Wolves. Shaq might get traded from the Lakers.

If Sam & THud are healthy, we would've won it all this year, IMHO. The things that Detroit used to drill the Lakers with were their ability to exploit the Lakers' perimeter defense. THud & Sammy C would've been just as effective with that defense. The thing that wouldn't happen in Detroit's favor is that they wouldn't get the tons of open looks just inside the lane from the T'Wolf defense like they got from the Lakers' defense. Finally, the Detroit defense was good but people are talking like it's the best defense ever played in NBA history. That's giving it far too much credit. Yes, they're a good defensive team but the Lakers missed alot of open looks, too. Also, the Lakers didn't put the right type of pressure on that defense. With a doubling defense, the best attack is swinging the ball around after the double comes, not driving. Most posessions, the Lakers only made 1-2 passes, which only plays into that type of defense.

Not to mention how hard he works and tries for rebounds, loose balls, the works. The only difference I feel is that he's a better shooter than Hoiberg but much less of a defender, but just as much a hustler. EJ makes a great backup C, I feel we really need to get rid of Kandiman and Miller, Newble still has plenty of potential on him, hopefully he'll make a great backup and we can build on him from there. With the money we get from the salary and cap room, I'm hoping we can land Dampier or Grant for our team.
