<div class="quote_poster">Quoting YaoMing03-04:</div><div class="quote_post">You guys dont know whats going on. The Magic are going to get minimum value for T-Mac. And T-Mac is making sure he screws over the franchise and john wiesbord. Before a trade happens the team doing the trade will contact Mcgrady, and they wil ask him what he thinks of the trade and if he is willing to play for that team. So Tracy could easily say he only wants to go to the Pacers, and Larry Bird will say "we know Tracy will only play for us, so we are only giving up artest and Pollard, and we want tracy and your 2 second round picks" See the ball is in T-Macs court, its up to him where he goes and who for, almost like he is a free agent. Beleive me larry Bird and Jeff Van Gundy are goin to rip off the Magic and their inexperienced hockey GM .</div> Basically like I said in my post with mcgrady already announcing to the media that he will not resign with the team afte rthe 04-05 season he basically just gave any team that wants him leverage over the magic. Now the teams now that the magic have no choice but to trade tmac for minimum value or lose him with nothing. Since they dont want to lose there superstar player with nothing they will be forced to lower the quality of players they request in a trade so basically imo the ball is not in tmacs court, but in the court of who ever wants to aquire him.
If thats the case, the Magic Organization have to give no permission to T-Mac to seek any type of trade, and they have to deal him to a team no matter if he wants to play for them or not. The world aint T-Mac.. And he can't always have his way..That is if Orlando is smart...
But zero think of it this way. Next Season, Tmac can opt out of his contract. If he gets traded to a team that he doesn't want to play for all he has to do is opt out and he can leave to a different team. So teams are only going to trade for him if they know that TMAC will want to play for them. They won't trade their players just to have a one year rental of Tmac. Tmac is going to screw the Magic with this trade and guess what, they deserves it. The past four years the Magic has been screwing tmac by giving a poor supporting cast. Just last year, they signed 8 new different players (four of them rookies) to help tmac and all of them sucked balls. Anyway, Tmac is leaving and it is all the magic's fault, not tmac.
The magic are going to be worst next year than they are this year. It is going to take the magic a long time to rebuild. They had a great thing in tmac and now they blew it.

Trading him away for 2 or 3 very good players will make Orlando far more a threat. The only way the Magic are going to be even worse is by keeping Mcgrady and letting him walk next summer without getting anything back.

The other team will end up winning this trade.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Einitials:</div><div class="quote_post">YEah, but they are going to get a lesser value in return. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Einitials:</div><div class="quote_post">YEah, but they are going to get a lesser value in return. The other team will end up winning this trade.</div> Not exactly. With this upcoming draft they can build their franchise around either Okafor or Dwight. McGrady is worth 2 possibly 3 starters from another team. (Rockets - Steve Francis, Cato, Mobley) (Pacers - Harrington, Artest, Jamaal, Bender) If a trade were to go down, Orlando would most likely come out ok. They would gain depth and have players who actually care about winning. If anything, this is great for Orlando - It's a fresh start. McGrady showed no desire to winning and these upcoming changes could turn the franchise around. I'm all for it.
Do you guys really think that John Weisbord and the entire incompetent Orlando Brass is capable of pulling a great trade or even a good trade off ? Larry Bird is going to have his way with John Weisbord. The Magic just have to hope for the best. T-mac never really said he would love to go to Houston , he just mentioned it, I think they are out of the picture. Indiana is the only team that will get him. Think McGrady and Jermaine O'Neal are not talking about how to get him there while screwing the Magic? Regardless of what T-Mac says , he really is going to screw the Magic, because he knows once he leves this Organization John Weisbord is going to rip him for everything, and Tracy is not going to let that happen.
