Jackson, one of the most successful coaches in NBA history, won't return to lead the Lakers next season. out beloved coach is.....gone. This really sucks, even if we do get to keep kobe. Jackson was one of if not the best coaches ever in my opinion.

^ yeah i agree Rambis just turns into someone else when he takes over a head coaching position.... Check this out: the Lakers have reportedly talked to Henry Bibby (Mike Bibby's father) and Rudy T about the coaching vacancy. Both have declined to comment now. Imagine if Henry takes the job and the Lakers get into the playoffs and face the Kings and his son, the rivalry between these two teams just can't die, can it? ^ Me neither, and yeah I think Rudy T fits better in LA because he's got a great personality and is so likeable. Players will give him instant respect. Another candidate that I think would be cool is Brian Shaw, who some people say are always cool, calm and collected. I also read Shaq's book "Shaq Talks Back" that he will only play for Brian Shaw should he play for another coach other than Phil Jackson. And now he's asking for a trade!
If Lakers get a decent coach or possibly Shaw, then theres noneed that Shaq leaves. If kobe does of course
