Excellent story Rodney7 I really can't wait to see all of these offseason moves that happen this year. Its really going to be fun and interesting to see al the moves theses diffrent teams make in an effort to better there teams. BTW. I heard in a thread earlier today here on Justbball that the Pacers were trying to offrer o'neal and other guys to the lakers for Shaq.

He was just signed to a huge 171 million dollar deal during the course of 7 years while shaq will be a free agent after next season.
Well this is the most current rumor I have been hearing inside NBA circles : Shaq for Tmac straight up or Shaq for Tmac plus a draft pick. Reasoning : Shaq goes back home to Orlando where he likes living. Orlando can build a team around him and with the East the way it is, Orlando will make the playoffs as a top tier team with shaq about every year. For the Lakers, this would be a great marketing move more than anything else. They would market Kobe and Tmac like the next Jordan/Pippen dynamic duo. That's what I am hearing, but again it's all just rumor right now.
I highly doubt Shaq would be traded for T-Mac, and T-Mac and Kobe together would be a lot worse than Shaq and T-Mac together. Shaq wants to go to Orlando to play with T-Mac. I see a trade of the #1, Gooden, Lue, and possibly Hill's contract, and 2 more future #1's. Or something of that nature. Possibly Keith Bogans invovled aswell, hes a hot commidity. I could also see Denver trading their #1, Camby, Elson, and another young throw in. Theres other possibilities like Miami, but they're unlikely. Id think Orlando and Denver would be the best suiters.

He is under contract. The Lakers will not ship him to any western conf teams for obvious reasons. T Mac and Kobe would be hilarious. Pippen accepted being secondary to Jordan and thrived. T Mac and Kobe both NEED the basketball. That trade is good in NBA Streets or at Rucker, but not in a real league. You gotta look at it from a couple perspectives. The Lakers will A- Want a big. B- Want him in the EC so they only see him twice a year. Where does he go?? My guess. New Jersey Jersey can sign and trade Kenyon Martin, some number ones, and another player, someone like a Kittles if not taken in the expansion draft. Thats my pick for now to his newest residence. Dont rule out Chicago who could give them the number three pick,Eddy Curry, and Jamal Crawford.
Whats wrong with the magic trade - Tmac, #1 pick most likely okafor, juwan howard, pat garrity for Shaq The lakers can re-trade tmac and get some more quality players, since they already have kobe.

I heard in a thread earlier today here on Justbball that the Pacers were trying to offrer o'neal and other guys to the lakers for Shaq.</div> No.. Jermaine O'neal is the only untouchable in the Pacers. There is no way they will trade him out let alone OFFERING him... especially for the aging Shaq.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KG-MVP:</div><div class="quote_post">Everytime I see something like this it reveals more and more of how horrible a person Kobe is.</div> Uhhh... what does any of this have to do about Kobe as a person.. . Yes, for fans of the Lakers, Kobe is being portrayed as the bad guy in this situation, but it isn't his fault. It is Buss' idea to build the team around a younger Kobe, not an aging Shaq. This has nothing to do with Kobe as a person, and someone's saying that he is a horrible person because the GM wants to build the team around him? damn.
First of all both of these guys hate Kobe... the interviewer wrote: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In other words, he is not averse to trading Shaq and is willing to build his franchise around a narcissist who's on trial for rape, doesn't make his teammates better and is in denial over all of it.</div> What a little punk. Shoot I'd love to see him try to do what Kobe goes through every day and still do good on the court... Shaq is obviously gone, no questions asked... Also I believe if Kobe and Shaq's team met in the finals it will be a crazy game. I'm sure Kobe would take it to the rack a lot just to shut shaq up... I don't know about 5 or 6 years either Shaq... Whatever happens I know its going to be interesting.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting theclown1:</div><div class="quote_post">No i cant believe this. Shaq not A Laker next season. This is unbelievable. If they let Shaq go this will hurt them alot. He will get his revenge. I hope things change and that Shaq stays.</div> If Shaq leaves and Kobe stays he will carry the Lakers and show that he doesn't need him.

I can't wait to see Kobe doin it on his own next year... now I'm not wantin him to fail at it miserably or nothin like that, or really wishin he would do well, I just wanna see whatever happens, how it goes down, and how he handles it, it'd be def interesting.... all eyes on you Kobe.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting YaoMing03-04:</div><div class="quote_post">Man, first "T-Maudib and now the Dune Deserter." This is going to be an action packed summer, I thought spider-man was going to be the biggest blockbuster of the summer but it may turn out to be Super-Man...</div> ooohhh, not bad....
About making his teammates better, look at kobes teammates in the finals, he would give them the ball and either they were too scared to shoot it or missed their shots and gave it back to him with 4 or 5 seconds left on the shot clock. (few exceptioons of course)
The plays were designed that way so that Kobe gets the ball but the D focuses on them (Luke Walton) in their only win in the finals.
I wanna see Shaq leave and Kobe stay, just so everyone can see how the Lakers need Shaq to win... Kobe cannot carry a team to the Finals like Shaq Daddy can............
