If things continue to go the way they are right now, I would not be surprised to see Bennett gone after this year. I was wondering last night which team he would be best on. My thought right now is that he would be great with Denver (of course, I think I could be great with Denver). Denver's running game seems to be the same every year...have the running back make one cut and hit the hole fast. Bennett is not a slasher, nor is he a power runner. He is pure speed. If he can get behind a fast offensive line that can open good holes, he will succeed. Do you think he will be picked up if he gets dropped by the Vikes? If so, who will pick him up?
Denver is a good fit. I am sure someone will pick him up. He is gone though, I'm afraid. O. Smith was officially named the starter for the rest of the year. Maybe Old Denny would try and sign him.
I think that he will be gone next season. He probably end up with one of the following teams: Dolphins, Titans, Cardinals, or 49ers. I highly doubt he'll end up with the Broncos cause they can pick up a nobody and make him a 1000 yard rusher.
Doesnt fit Niners system, I cant imagine the Titans wanting him with all the players they have at RB. Cards and Dolphins will be in hunt, but he will not be the 'guy' people are going for with Edge, Alexander, Henry, Thomas, all out there.
I think anyone who watches film on him will realize that they need a specific system in order for Bennett to succeed. He's still a decent back, but no better than a 2nd string on the Vikings right now
No one has seen him play at 100% in so long... I actually forget how much I used to love that guy. If he can play the way he once did, he is a top 10 back, EASY.
I think the Giants should pick up Bennett and drop Dayne. They could exchange one Badger back for another...

How do you know that he can't adapt to a different type of system because a lot of people thought since the Falcons horrible this year because they went to the west coast offense and look at them now.
They are one of the worst passing teams in the league, it is vicks ability to run and pick up first downs that has kept them alive. They have a 9-2 record but have only scored 17 points more than they gave up. That is a paper tiger, record looks good, but probably not good enough to win in playoffs. They are benefiting from mediocrity of NFC
Bennett needs a simplified system. I originally said Denver because they tend to have the back make one cut then hit the hold with speed. He has decent vision, but is easily tripped up. He's not much of a power back either. He can make some adaptations, but I really don't think he was ever a true running back. He is an athlete who has decent vision and an incredible amount of speed.
