god i hope this dont happen. i dont want to see shaq and t-mac in a dallas jersey ( no affence), i want to see them togather ( like in a magic jersey), but i dought it will happen
This probablly will never eva happen. But if it did they would be awesome. Come on now, this guys would be unstoppable. Who would they trade though?
Whoa thats a Mavericks fan dream! It might happen. Can we say title in Dallas? I doubt it will happen but its a good thought.
I think it would be tight for the Mavs. I just hope that they don't turn into ballhogs or something. Cuz u know how Mavs dont reallly doesnt have one good player like Tmac or something. The mavericks are surrounded by good players which make them a great team. But as for as this REALLY happening i dont know. Just cuz they've been talkin about doesnt mean Cuban has talkin bout it, u know. Id like to hear his opinion. As for the money problem. I dont think we need Walker ($14.6 million) or Tariq Abdul-Wahad ($6.7 million) Oh yeah and would T-mac play SG or SF cuz im wondering if he would take the place of Jamison or Michael Finley.
It would never work for many reasons one the mavs already have a high enough pay role as it is without adding those two to the mix.Plus it would be a stupid move for the mavs. They are yes a horrible defensive team that needs a talented big man, but also they run a fast break offense like every time down the court. Shaquille would never be able to keep up with that speed for 82 games of the regular season at 320 pounds and also play the playoffs his body would break down. Then tmac would basically go kobe with shaq and they start fighting over who deserves the ball more. Then the mavs have a huge problem with there offense because to much talent, but only one ball. Then you have to add dirk, finely, walker, and jamison to the mix all those guys want the ball it wouldnt work.
well i believe if this trade were to happen these two guys walker and jamison with maybe even Finley would be gone. Now as for the mavs as a team with these guys depature and the addition of the diesal and MAC; i believe they could really be sweet. kinda like the pistons without depth. I mean with Nowitzki shooting threes at the pf. spreading the floor out with T mac and Nash. shaq would kill guys in the post. Of course it wont be so much run and gun as of past mavericks so if these aquisitions of the diesal and Tracy were to happen it would be interesting to see Dirk work in the halfcourt set. instead of constantly runing the fast break and jacking the three. even though Shaq can really start the fastbreak. All in all i believe the mavs would be a very interesting team to watch
It would be insane if that happened two of the most unstoppable, high calibre players in the NBA on the same team. The Mavericks would'nt need any more offensive help with Nowitzki already there. If this went down it would be a team to remember, seriously these guys would be the trio that deserve the name THE BIG THREE.
It is possible, there's no need to worry about the salary, because a couple of other players (Walker, Jamison, Finley, Nash) will go the other way since it will be a trade, not a free agent signing.
How about: Finley and Jamison for Shaq Nowitzki and Josh Howard for McGrady The Mavs would end up with Shaq at center, Walker at power forward, McGrady at small forward, Daniels at shooting guard and Nash to be re-signed and starting at point guard. This team would resemble the Lakers team during the three-peat.

Theyd want more players for someoone like T-mac.
There is no way that the Mavericks will pull off this kind of trade. And I'll tell you why: 1. Money: The Dallas Mavericks would want nothing more than to raise their salary cap figures by a huge amount. Shaq is already being owed 30.4 million dollars for 2005-06, total 150 million dollars, and McGrady's contract runs out by next year and you already know he's going to demand a 100 million dollar contract. So would Mark Cuban be content with emptying his wallet to pay both players an estimated 250 million bucks total for a guy that's declining, out of shape, and can't play a full season to another man just entering his prime and a top of the charts type of ego? I don't think so. 2. Egos: Tracy McGrady and Shaq may think they're "good friends" off the basketball court, but when they're on the court it can take a serious toll on egos. These two have some of the biggest egos in the league today, and if one isn't getting the fair amount of touches they deserve, which one is gonna be the first to jaw off at the media? Shaquille O'Neal complained about not receiving the ball enough being the #1 option, but if you have a lineup of supposedly Shaq, TMac, Nash, Nowitski, and Daniels who'll be happy on that team?
McGrady is already pretty much gone to Houston, Dallas wants Shaq and it is said they will give dirk for him. Dirk is probably the only player they would want.
