For those people who live in a team's home-town: Have you ever seen the local team's players around in the city? I'm originally from Minnesota, but moved to California a few years ago. I live in Sacramento, which is home of the Kings. Well, in Sacramento, you are pretty likely to see a Kings player out and about in the city. You might even see them at the local amusement park or lake. First, my dad used to do pest-control, and had happened to have serviced several of the King's players' homes. So I know where a bunch of them live, some in a certain gated community(where some Lakers live too) and some in just general nice neighborhoods. Here is most of the encounters ive had with players. I have seen Brad Miller 2 times. One time i was at the lake with my friends, and Brad Miller pulls up, pulling a huge boat behind him. He got out, loaded up his boat with a bunch of ice chests and drove his huge boat around while drinking a bunch of beer. The next time I saw him, I was driving away from the general area he lived in, and he was coming towards it. He pulled around the corner with his Excursion with a lift kit on it. I looked at it as he drove away and it still had Indiana plates. The next guy your most likely to see anywhere is Mike Bibby. Ive seen Bibby at a cell phone shop, a Petsmart, Home depot, and one time my mom was at a salon getting her hair done, and mike bibby came in and asked one of the girls their for their number. Cwebb I have seen watering his lawn( pretty funny sight to see) and at a car shop. Ive seen his car a few times(or at least one of them) but you cant see inside thu the tint. Its a big ass escalade Ive seen bobby jackson, who has a verey nice car that has spinners and everything. But theres one place that your almost guaranteed to see one, and i have seen Bibby, Christie, and Cwebb there, this nice tatoo shop in town, where they all go to get their tatoos. the first couple times i saw any of these people, I was really surprised, I never saw anyone in Minnesota, but now its like "hey theres Cwebb" and im used to seeing them alot had anyone else ever seen their local players off the courts?
I've seen Antiuan Jaminson a few times in downtown Oakland, but that's about it..i don't know if he even lived in Oakland or not,but that's the only NBA star i've seen locally

I haven't seen any of the Heat players around, but I have seen Pat Riley (and his wife) in an italian restaurant I was at about a year ago which was cool. I have seen Juan Pierre, Dontrelle Willis, and Jason Taylor around town a few times but that's pretty much it.
^really? I heard Dwayne Wade is pretty easy to spot in miami, I saw him during that streetball game or something like that. I saw Vince Carter at a restaurant and Michael Jordan at a hotel, where apparently the wizards were staying after the game.
I Saw Willis Reed But That Was After A Basketball Game. I Live In Nj And Since Its A State Its Pretty Hard To Find People. I Have Seen The Streetballers Headache And I Met Sean Elliot Once At A Game
I haven't seen any NBA players (well besides Brian Shaw back in 8th grade for Career Day) but I've met a ton of Oakland Raider players. Tim Brown, Jerry Rice, (who I missed by two feet thanks to the overweight security guard) Jon Gruden, Lincoln Kennedy, Charles Woodson, Mo Collins, Roland Williams, Marquez Pope, and Trace Armstrong. (who I had the opportunity to talk to) And all in a day's worth, I received all their autographs just chilling in the Raider parking lot at Network Associates Coliseum and I did it for my big sister.

Lauderdale.
My cousin works at a mall. He was on the elevator, when who guess comes in with him. The only Michael Jordan. He was so amazed. He straightly asked for an autograph, and luckily, he got one on a piece of paper, which he still haves. I wish I could of been there.
It should be fairly easy to spot major sports players in the hottest nightclubs when they're visiting. I don't go out but everyone has seen Shaq, KG, Sam Cassell (he actually runs a promotion suited for mixing the stars with the fans called "We Are One"), Trenton Hassell (some movie), you can't really go around Minneapolis without bumping into Kirby Puckett, I've sat down and had conversations with WWE/WWF stars (Crash Holly tried to give us a table dance, rest his soul and Goldberg is awesome in person).
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BronxTeeRex:</div><div class="quote_post">I once ran into Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel</div> I hate you!!
when i was live in west palm beach florida i see dennis rodman in wal mart i also saw a time in the atlanta airport dion glover and jason terry <font color="DarkGreen"><font size="1">The EDIT button is there for a reason dude, try not to double post - SS</font></font>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting B-22:</div><div class="quote_post">Thats cool, but do you ever approach any of them?</div> well, since im not a huge fan, im not too interested in them, but the couple times me and my friends have drove by Webber watering his lawn we yelled Cwebb. But thats about it, most of the other guys just ignored you if you tried to say something and treid to leave pretty quick. On the note of other celebrities, I once saw Lil Jon and Ludacris get escorted into a car behind an airport in LA. I was the first guy to see em , so without thinking I was like "HEY LUDACRIS, LIL JON" In LA yu can belive it when you hear someone yell like a celebs name or something, so I started a huge mob scene. That happens like 10 times a day in LA, Especially at the airport.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KG-MVP:</div><div class="quote_post"> without thinking I was like "HEY LUDACRIS, LIL JON"</div> Did he say WAT!!?? Jus playin. But the closest I've ever been to a sports player was when I went to a A's/Red Sox game and the Red Sox were taking batting practice and Gabe Kapler was playing catch with somebody and he was real close to the stands. And then I got to see Pedro Martinez who was warming up.

Michael jordan has basketball camp, the lakers have basketball camp, the mixtape guys were here a few weeks ago, we have really nice hotels, michael jackson was arrested 2 miles from my house, friend met horace grant...but me the only guy i have met is cliff branch (old oakland raider) at a grocery store, he was there signing autographs for a charity, i went to the coach/counselor game at the jordan camp, so i saw all the upcoming prospects of college and high school, jordan bartends at a bar downtown every august. brad and jen anniston own a house here, j-lo and ben were supposed to have their wedding here, oprah lives here and is always out walking around................too bad i've only met the football guy
