I don't know why, but I am really excited about this weeks game against the Bears. I just have a feeling that things are going to come together greatly for the Vikes. Obviously, there is some reason to think this...Chicago is playing a new QB (again), Moss is as close to 100% as he has been in 7 weeks, he is also playing against Tillman for the first time since last season when Tillman intercepted the game winning TD, the defense has been showing some very good improvements over the past few weeks, and it seems as if our personel is finally starting to get settled. Of course, now that I said this, expect the Bears to win.
Outside. Grass. Cold weather. Great Bears defense. Flip a coin...either team could win this game. I'm thinking (hoping) Bears.
I don't know why outside and grass would make a difference, but I do know that the temp is going to be in the mid-40's. That's not that bad at all. The Bears do have a great defense, that worries me a bit, and playing a division rival as an away game is never easy. I just think that the fortunes of both teams are going in opposite directions. Of course, that could all change on Sunday.
Don't the Vikings live by the creedo "Dome, sweet dome?" Urlacher's back for the Bears... I don't see how Hutchinson could do any worse than Quinn or Krenzel. I hope this game is on T.V. on Sunday. I'm looking forward to seeing it, too. Vikings/Bears is one of the best rivalries in the NFL! (Underrated, at that...)
Yeah, they do live by "Dome, sweet Dome", but we all still hate the dome. I also don't see how Hutchinson could do worse than Quinn or Krenzel, although, if he does twice as good, we should still win this game easily. Its really unfortunate that Grossman went down. As much as I don't like the Bears as a division rival, I was hoping to see them get some ray of light at the QB position, and he seemed to be it. It should be a good time. My wife will be gone (which sucks since she loves watching football, and her family is filled with Bears fans), but I still can't wait to watch.
Here is how i see this breaking down. Vikings offense puts 35 points on the board, unfortunately for them 21 of them are for the Bears. The Bears offense puts 0 points on the board(we are just taking knees so we dont generate points for other team)
If the Vikings can stop the run, they'll win. They need to play eight men up and stop Jones/Thomas to make Hutchinson throw. If Jones gets rolling, though, it could be a long afternoon for the Vikes.
It's not going to be close the Vikngs will have this game won at halftime with a comfortable 21 point lead. But will end up losing by a FG in the final seconds of the game. Which seems to happen to them a lot this season.
ranman, what are you talking about? The Vikings have come back to win in most of their games...they are a horrible first half team. Today, however, they were just a horrible team. How freakin' embarrasing. I think I'm going to go bury my head in some sand for a while.

Take heart, Vikingfan. The Packers are getting pistol whipped right now, so you're essentially losing nothing.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BearsFan1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Dont let it bother you, The better team won.</div> I hate to say it, but today's better team did win. The Bears deserved, that, but don't take anything from it. The Vikings D today could make any quarterback look like an MVP. One thing is for sure, the Vikings will not get far in the playoffs without getting some help at linebacker. We have great athletes, but they are just plain dumb!

Yeah, I think they'll still get to the playoffs. The schedule from here on out isn't particularly tough, except for Green Bay on Christmas Eve.
I've been saying all week to expect the Bears QB to have a good game. I just didn't expect the MN offense to play so horribly. As much as I like Moss, it was funny to see him fumble and have teh Bears dominate him after the way he was mouthing off before the game. What a turd. Vikes may make the playoffs, but they are going nowhere unless by some miracle they become good. Right now they are an average team in a terrible conference. Eagles are head and shoulders above anyone else in the NFC.
Except the colts(who are unstoppable) the bears have played these "high-powered" offenses in MN and PHI, and i just am not impressed. The can not get it done vs a good D. Phi should be praying Bears dont make playoffs, cuz thier offense did not do shit vs us either.
