I read recently where Don Shula met w/ Wayne H. The rumor was to get input on who the next Team President should be.

I read a few months back that the gentleman (his name excapes me) in charge of co-ordinating all the Super Bowl details for the league was Eddie Jones' replacement.

Why not name Don Shula team President? Give Spielman a little bit longer to prove himself. As for coach, I could live w/ Bates. Though, truth be told, My preference is still Vikings O co-ordinator Scott Linehan. Though, I'd settle for Jim Fassel.

I like the idea of hiring Don Shula as team president, sticking with Spielman for at least another year(especially after seeing how some of his draft picks are performing without Wanny around to bring them down), and signing Bates to a 4 year deal and see what he can do....I would like to see Trestman be promoted to O-Co, let him change anything he wants to change and see what happens....after seeing Feeley get up over and over again and after seeing the team fight their butts off the last 2 weeks, im looking forward to seeing what Bates does the rest of the year....

I think the Dolphins need to seriously look at GM prospects before giving Spielman another year. If the Phins could get someone like a Scott Pioli then they should act now and let him have some serious input in getting a new head coach. I just think that hiring a head coach and then having to hire a new GM next year could be a mistake. I'm not for keeping Bates as head coach either. If we're going to clean house and start fresh, then let's do it the right way. No half stepping. That is what's been holding the Dolphins back.

After further review, I am inclined to agree w/ Dale.

When it comes to the new GM, I say the personnel guy who works w/ Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore or Mueller now that vanilla one is gone.

As for coach, I'll add just one name to my original post - Romeo Crennel.
