looks like the Pistons are going to leave Corliss unprotected. from the looks of things, the Bobcats probably won't pick him (he's got too many years left on his contract, and Bickerstaff has been quoted saying he's looking for 1 year left guys). that leads me to think that Joe wants to keep Elden Campbell (originally thought to be unprotected) as trade bait, perhaps. maybe Dumars wants to keep Campbell's contract around just in case he needs to wheel and deal in free agency this summer.
Thats pretty good for the pistons he was the sixth man of the year not to long ago. He is still a very good rebounder and defender. Not that good a offensive player as he once was though. He will probable not be taken by the bobcats unless some other team is intrested in him and offers the bobcats something like the knicks are tirng to do. As well as what the clippers did do. Though it is a smart move in terms of he probable wont be taken it might be a bad move in terms of what happened to chucky atkins in boston might happen to williamson. He may say he doesnt want to play in detroit any more if he is going to play well for them only to be left unprotected. You never know.
He'd be a good addition to any team's bench. He adds some real depth as he has a well balanced game. I suggest the Hornets or Heat. Great rebounder and scorer like Donyell Marshall, just not starting material, pretty good defender also. I wish he'd stay though, he looks like he should be and currently is a Piston. Take care and good luck to him wherever he goes, his efforts will not be forgotten.
