<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rumors of a trade that would bring Antoine Walker to New York are alive again. The Knicks and Charlotte Bobcats have had discussions about a deal for Walker, who was left unprotected by the Dallas Mavericks for tonight's expansion draft. Walker's salary could preclude the Bobcats from selecting him, because if they were to deal Walker to the Knicks they would have to take back approximately $14 million in salary. The Dallas Morning News reported that Walker's agent, Michael Higgins, confirmed that the Knicks and Bobcats were talking about a potential trade for Walker. Walker, who will turn 28 in August, is entering the final year of his contract. His name is already being linked to trades with the Lakers, Magic and Bulls if Walker remains a Maverick after tonight. Last season, the Knicks were prepared to send Latrell Sprewell and Michael Sweetney to Boston for Walker, but the Celtics rejected the proposal. Boston GM Danny Ainge swore he wouldn't trade Walker - only to deal him to Dallas.</div> <div align="center">Full Story</div> I truly feel sorry for Knicks fans. Isiah Thomas could do better than this.
I like walker as a person. And as a nba player I would want him on my team, but I hate his style. He shoots 33 % from three point range below the league average yet he attempts the most threes in the NBA. He shoots under 40 % from the feild as well. Though he is a big small forward that would evolve to a whole new level of play if he would learn to post and drive the lane. I would do this trade in a second because in my opinion he has the potential if he were to learn to evlove his game to be a prime time player. Also he is a 2 time all star and was a big part in sparking that celtics 26 point come back in the 4th quarter of the 2002 eastern conferense finals.

Then for some reason he fell in love with the three ball, and he just isnt good at shooting three's, it's really weird. It looked like Cuban was dissapointed in Walker's performance this year. It still makes me mad Celtics could have had Spree and Sweet instead of Raef Lafrentz, who didnt even play last year.

That sums it up. Why would he want another ballhog when you already have Starbury? Not to mention his bad selection, only real thing he'd have to offer is size and rebounding. Plus like Shaq, he only does well at that when he wants to be. Terrible work ethic, game, laziness, no thank you.
