Anyone else think the Rockets should keep this guy? I don't see why he didn't get more PT at the end of the season when he was obviously playing hard and playing well. I watched the Rockets play the Sonics in Seattle when Francis and Mobley both sat out and the Rockets won. Boki locked down Rashard Lewis and scored some pretty clutch baskets. In the playoffs he was able to score off the dribble and hit some 3's.. And that "block" on Malone (all ball, sympathy foul) was money. For a while he looked like he was gonna be a bust, but we were starting to see flashes of why the Rockets picked him up and now he might be traded to Orlando? btw, I think Orlando will make the playoffs with Francis and Mobley next season. Those 2 were able to get 40 wins in the West in the pre-Yao days, if the Magic can get 40 wins they should be in the playoffs in the East.
KEEP, KEEP, KEEP, KEEP! When Jackson reitires, i want Boki to start.. He was dubbed the next Peja, a feat which not many have reached. I mean, he plays amazing defense when called upon, Malone -- hahahaha.. He will start hitting the 3 consistently and hes taking it to the rim method is better than most Europeans. I think if we keep him this year, he'll mature, and outdo - offensively and defensively - all the other Euro players.
Being dubbed the next Peja or Dirk or Vlade isn't anything new, it gets use A LOT... Darko was supposed to be the next Peja, Dirk, and Vlade combined. Niko Tskitisvili was supposed to be the next Dirk... Vladamir Radmonovich was supposed to be a Dirk as well... The list goes on and on, and there are some in this year's draft with the same comparisons... Gotta hope on Nachbar, but if he doesn't show anything next season he will be released, so hopefully he's at a gym like right now!
He showed everyone he might be something in the playoffs versus the Lakers, he probaly will, I say KEEP HIM what would the Rockets get for him anyway
I've never heard of Darko being compared to Peja, Dirk and Vlade combined.. but anyways.. I say keep Darko. I like the kid, he's got some potential and I'd like to see him get more PT.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He showed everyone he might be something in the playoffs versus the Lakers, he probaly will, I say KEEP HIM</div>How did he? The only good thing he did in that series was the foul on Malone. He didn't do anything significant otherwise.
I think in a couple of years he may be a good player. Though imo that is gona take a long time. The rockets dont really have to wait on him any way they are very much set at the small forward slot. They can play jim jackson there. T-mac can play there a couple of minutes when you want to go with a back court of lue and mark jackson. They have that guy they got as a free agent from the clippers his last name is to hard to spell so I wont even try, but you guys know who Im talking about.
I didn't see anything great in him this year, but i know he is a good 3'shooter, and that's something the Rockets need, so keep him for next year if, and see if he can contriute some real stuff, when Francis, mobley, gone on SG
keep boki thats an easy answer... imagine what this guy will be in a season or two... he could be so cold its not even funny he could be another three point shooting threat
