    VITALS: 6-11, 223, Providence

OVERVIEW: As a senior, Douthit finished seventh in the nation in blocks per game (3.2). He also averaged 7.8 points and 5.9 rebounds. For his career, Douthit ranks second all-time in school history in blocks with 295. As a junior, he finished 11th in the nation in blocks per game (3.0).

LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: Nos. 40-59. In addition to competing at Portsmouth and Chicago, Douthit has been on an NBA workout tour. He will have auditioned for an incredible 14 clubs by the time the draft rolls around.

    COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Samuel Dalembert

    COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Ken Johnson

    ROLE PROJECTION: Reserve

POSITIVES: Douthit is a mobile big man with legitimate center height. He stands 6-11 with shoes on and has a 7-4 wingspan, giving him an incredible reach. Such traits make Douthit a prolific shot-blocker. He can also help out on the boards and score off garbage baskets as well.

SHORTCOMINGS: Weighing in at only 223 pounds in Chicago, it is no wonder why Douthit's nickname is "Slink." He will get pushed around in the NBA paint, and because he is 24 years old, there is little reason to believe that he will add much more weight. Furthermore, Douthit is a better shot-blocker than he is rebounder and his offensive game is non-existent.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "I'm in a position that every kid in the park wants to be in. I'm living everybody's dream, everyone on the court is shooting and wants to play in the NBA, so right now I'm living it." - Douthit in an interview with a Syracuse's News 10 Now
