    VITALS: 6-1, 202, Manhattan

OVERVIEW: Flores finished his career as Manhattan's all-time leading scorer with 2,160 points. He led the Jaspers to the NCAA Tournament during his junior and senior seasons, averaging 24.6 and 24.0 points per game, respectively. Flores began his college career at Rutgers, where he played one season before transferring. He was born in the Dominican Republic but played his high school basketball in New York.

LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: Mid-to-late second round. Toronto (40) and New York (44) have shown interest. His stock rose after averaging 15.5 points per game at Portsmouth and 12.6 at Chicago, which ranked sixth in the camp.

    COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Mike James

    COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Horace Jenkins

    ROLE PROJECTION: Reserve

POSITIVES: It is extremely difficult for defenders to stay in front of Flores. He has great lateral speed to rock opponents back and forth and goes from 0 to 60 in a split second. Once he gets into the lane, he is a surprisingly effective scorer in traffic, despite his lack of size. He has great toughness, good range on his jump shot and is an excellent ball thief. Flores may not be a complete NBA player, but he certainly has a lot of NBA skills.

SHORTCOMINGS: There is a high mortality rate for 2-guards trying to make the switch to point in the NBA. Given the lack of playmaking skills Flores showed at Manhattan, it is unlikely he will succeed. If he survives, it will be as a sparkplug scorer off the bench, a la Bobby Jackson or Eddie House.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "I love Luis. I think he had a great week and really helped himself (at Chicago)." - New York Knicks assistant Michael Malone on Knicks.com
