This is a Bol situation all over again at that weight. If he can get up to around 300 to 310 pounds, he would definitly make a great addition to any team. Plus from what they've said, he needs to become more aggressive. The height won't add much if he can't do what he's supposed to. This will be a huge project for whomever drafts him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sefu is not sure if Kudu will be willing to block shots, despite his height. "He's a very sensitive guy, and he might not want to hurt the feelings of those playing with him," he says. "We might have to work that into his contract as an incentive, but I can't guarantee anything on that front. I can guarantee that the kid can dunk."</div> Lots of potential for this guy. Potential problems that is. I don't think the L has enough time to check on his background like health. But he is huge.
This is getting kinda out of hand. Recruiting a 7-11 South African who speaks a language thought to be extinct, and who doesn't actually know how to play basketball, just because of his height, is pretty ridculous IMO. To me it would be different if this guy knew how to play basketball and was an athlete, but I think it's wrong that there are scouts going out to places like little villages in South America looking for tall freaks to play in the NBA. Basically, it seems like this guy is completely unequipped to play in the NBA except for his height. I mean, this guy has 1 % body fat, that is VERY skinny, how could someone like that make it in the NBA? It sounds all wrong to me, to take this freakishly tall guy, who is only 1 % body fat and not muscular, who has been playing on a hoop made of antelope horn his whole life, is too gentle and sensitive to block a shot, and doesn't really know how to play basketball anyways, and put him in the NBA. Anyone agree?
I'm with you. I bet you he's also slow. I mean, fruits all his life? Guys will try to dunk on him everytime. Succeeding most of the time.
Its actually pretty savage if someone drafts him. The NBA, The U.S. its a pretty savage place. This guy dosen't even want to block any shots because he might make someone feel bad. And what if it turns out to be some really messed up disease, we probably just ship him back to his tiny village. I dont, is he any good?
What does he look like, all we can see is his lips. Should've seen him in Ripley's believe it or not or something. 7-11 and a standing reach of 10 feet even? Jaber reach is what, like 10-5 or even higher at 7-5. Man, my arms are as long as Kudu at 6-1. Anyways, I figured he isn't all that good being that tall. To bad, it would be nice to see a Shao Kahn like height which is unbelievable have some game.
These are the descriptions of one Shawn Bradley to me. I feel like he is such a waste of his height. You should want to dunk on people without standing on your tip toes. Imagine how many goal tend calls he'd get and be like "I was just taking it out of the air".

This is a crock of -beep-, everything on page3 on espn.com is mostly jokes and BS. Also there is already a thread about this in http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19877
I gotta question. If the defender is standing there with his hands straight up in the air and the ball is coming down from a shot.....is it still goal tending? I mean if he was standing there before the shot was taken.
its most def a joke... look @ shaq's head..its smaller than yao's...haha <font color="Red">edit: Triple posting is not allowed. Use the edit button.--Rudeezy</font>
thats stupid...if he doesnt want to block shots..why would he want to dunk over someone..that would hurt their feelings as well. I HATE ESPN now.
lol they just redeemed themselves..they have a poll saying "which 18 year old would you build around" and have linsy lohan leading at 58% with ashley olsen and mischa barton followed by d.howard, livingston, and telafair..haha
It is a joke, ESPN Page 2 Writers don't report real things. Besides something really had to go wrong if you grew to 7'11"
