suns have just now made a new offer post tracy mcgrady. they have made offers at Steven Nash and Vlade Divac.
I actually think that since Phoenix has traded away it's pick that they played themselves out of the T-Mac trading spree. Phoenix does not want to part with Johnson much less Stoudamire or Marion so the 7th would have been used as a filler to sweeten whichever deal they had on the table with Orlando.
Having Divac on the team might make it easier to acquire Vujanic, since, if I recall, Divac has some sort of investment in Milos' team. Though I don't think I wanna see king flop in a suns jersey, but it'd be better than kobe (from my own personal dislike perspective).
The agreement with the Bulls came Wednesday after the Suns' talks with Orlando stalled. A trade for McGrady would have sent Olympic-bound forward Shawn Marion, the No. 7 pick and another Suns player to Orlando. The Magic wanted budding guard Joe Johnson, but Phoenix was unwilling to part with him and offered swingman Casey Jacobsen instead. When Orlando General Manager John Weisbrod announced that a predraft trade of McGrady was unlikely, Phoenix closed the deal with Chicago. The Suns will continue to talk with Orlando about McGrady, a league official said. Weisbrod said seven teams' offers are being considered. http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/s...adraft0624.html ...closest I could find. Nash I don't believe because as long as he doesn't do a sign and trade with the Lakers we can just get him fair and square in free agency. I believe Divac is a part owner of the Partizan Belgrade team that farmed Vujanic out to Skipper Bologna. It's a pretty good bet Vujanic won't come over if we get Nash. He wouldn't come over to the Knicks because they already had three PGs and if we get Nash and don't ditch Eisley somehow and shift Barbosa over to the 2 he won't come over. He may spend his career over there.
no way are they giving up marion and JJ or marion and amare so no deal (I'm hoping). Suns fans like our trio.
Yeah I am still expecting the houston trade, but with the way things are going expect everything and nothing.
