<div class="quote_poster">Quoting saad:</div><div class="quote_post">should have taken iguodala rather than deng if they keep the 7th pick...he is more ahtletic and plays better defense, he can guard kobe, mcgrady,etc...deng can't...need some athleticism on offense and defense, iguodala was they way to go...</div> Iggy wouldn't have been a bad pick, but his shooting is a huge question mark(Though he did have some good shooting workouts). We badly need shooting, offense, so Deng IMO is the better choice. It's not like this team lacks athleticsm, Curry, Chandler, JYD, newly acquired Ben Gordon, hell even E-Rob. Also, Pax said he was impressed by Deng's athleticsm at his workout with the Bulls. I'll be very happy with a lineup of: Kirk Hinrich Ben Gordon Luol Deng Tyson Chandler Eddy Curry We better make the playoffs with that lineup.
Well like last year...we were expectin somethin else but we got Heinrich which than became our favorite in squad, BUT one thing: We got now Gordon and Deng ! ok we need Deng at SF, but Gordon doenst have the height for SG and he stated "im a PG"...im affraid now, I dont want that he and Heinrich share that spot. Remember 2 years ago when Williams and Crawford were on the mix for the PG spot. Id like to see Heinrich runin the PG, and someone be at SG, Deng at SF, Chandler PF and Curry C
What's holding Gordon back from distributing the ball without being the point? It's not like he isnt a scoring guard, he can play the 2. He will be forced to play some pointguard due to his size, but that shouldn't be a problem at all really. He has all the skills he needs to be successful, and he fell into a good situation for him in Chicago. He won't be pressured to distribute the ball and he will be allowed to shoot. Unlike Steve Francis, who would fit much better at the 2, he wants to be the off guard and score rather than distribute, so Gordon better take advantage of his oppurtunity. We have a good candidate for ROY, I'm excited for the year to start.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting saad:</div><div class="quote_post">but how sure are you that chandler, JYD, e-rob, or even ben gordon will still be bulls in the near future?</div> Well Pax is super impressed with Gordon's game, he loves everything about it, so he'll most likely be kept. Also, I think Pax still intends to give the Eddy and Tyson project a little more time to work in a steady environment. JYD and E-Rob, I have no problem with either of them gone, their contracts reak havoc on our cap space, though I will miss JYD's hustle. Also, if we keep both Dupree and Linton Johnson, who are both great athletes, we still remain a very young, athletic sqaud.
I would like to see this line up by the start of the season if they decide to keep their rookies from this draft. Starting Line PF Tyson Chandler SF Luol Deng C Eddy Curry SG Ben Gordon PG Kirk Hinrich Bench Antonio Davis Kendall Gill Chris Duhon Ronald Dupree Linton Johnson They need to trade Jamal Crawford for a good Small Forward, Power Forward, or Center. They should probably package E-Rob and JYD (Even though I love the dog) along with Crawford and get a great player and possibly a future pick or reliable bench player.
I don't know why the Bulls got Ben Gordon, they have a really good player in Kirk Hinrich and Gordon is too short to play the 2 guard, so why did they pick Gordon.
It may have been their best draft in a long time, but the selections werent that wise. First of all they didnt need gordon, cause they already have hinrich. they really didnt need to pick duhon, with already hinrich, and gordon. deng, not a bad pick, except that they already have a lot of big guys.

Deng fills that spot for now, that's why they chose him. Gordon can't play the 2 because of his height? What about Iverson, he was moved to the 2 spot and they had Snow at the point. Hinrich is a better playmaker and passer than Gordon, if Gordon doesn't fit into the system, they will trade him for someone else. But I believe he can play the 2 in the NBA. Who knows, he may even become bait for a trade. As for Duhon, well, last I checked not many players can play an entire game, so the Bulls do need a point guard to back up Kirk. Bench players are very important and people should've expected that pick to happen. If Gordon is not dealt and can play the 2, expect the starting line up to look something a little like this. PF (Could be Chandler, David, or JYD - Depending who they keep) SF Luol Deng C Eddy Curry SG Ben Gordon PG Kirk Hinrich

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ObieCent:</div><div class="quote_post">...we still remain a very young, athletic sqaud.</div> is that what you really want? young squad??? we've had that since '98. davis is a guy you keep, good veteran who can still play, offense and defense.

Please read correctly. lol Now, as for Gordon and Deng being traded that's a possibility. It all depends on who they can pick up in return for a trade like that.

There's nothing wrong with having a young team. Before, we were young, and we just flat out sucked. We need to get some veterans, but being young isnt bad. We will mature, and the team will have more time to mold into a championship contending team.
I don't think they will trade any of their picks. Gordon will be the sg and deng already will start at the 3. why is everyone pissed at deng, he's a solid player. Duhon was a steal to get in the 39 slot.
they got good players like Gordon, Deng and Duhon........what they goiing to do with the rest of the guys in their team?...........they should trade it
