Not a bad choice, considering most of the other fowards were taken.

I think he will be traded to the pacers... Try and get a deal for Al Harrington and Ron Artest. If they decide to keep this kid I would like of them too pick Kirk Snyder. But oh well, atleast he can shoot.

I would have taken jameer he would have played well with lebron. I hope this player is later traded, but if he isnt he will be a great shooter for the cavs something they really needed. This will help them in there half court game which was something they really struggled in last year when they couldnt get out on the break.

Jameer would of been great but we got McGinnis and from the looks of it we are stuck with Ollie so I guess he will play backup.

I was going to be extremely happy if they got Jackson or Childress.
I'm extremely happy with this pick.

jason kapono wouldve played 25 minutes a game if he was athletic at all. luke jackson is an athletic, left handed version of kapono, devastating shooter, great offensive playmaker imo, however he leaves much to be desired on defense, an area we really need to address in free agency. also, there is NO WAY indiana gives us both artest and harrington for this pick, its one or the other, and no way they do artest for luke straight up.

This is a good pick because the Cavs really needed an outside shooter, but who knows you know Indy is after Jackson so maybe a deal could go down with Ron Artest or AL Harrington.

Childress taken at 6. [IMG] I hope LJax puts a smile back on my face during the season. Wow did Jameer slide or what?

    Jammer did slide.

But I keep hearing about Jameer and not Jackson.

Jackson is a great pick for us. He's not just able to hit the outside shot, but he's able to drive to the basket too. Not really an explosive player but a player that can get the job done. We needed a SF, and got one. I don't know how people are disapointed with this pick. I'm surprised about some of the picks, I thought he'd be going to Chicago. His workouts, though, have helped him big time. I don't know if I am all for the trade for Al Harrington. I want Al, great player, does a lot, but we need outside shooting, and we got it.

Luke for Al straight up? Nah, I wouldn't go with that. Cavs got too push for a combo trade with Artest because Pacers really want Luke and we may beable too pull off a great one.

    -Z
    -Booz
    -Artest
    -James
    -McGininis
    -Harrnington as 6th man

If thats now a playoffs bond team i just dont know what is.

But if we do trade for Artest and Harrington, we would be back to the non-shooting team all over again. My opinion is that we should keep LJax. He will be dependable for points when needed, something we desperatly needed. But now that we have Jax and Sasha, our defense in that position is going to be very weak. Don't forget to mention that we will probably re-sign Nailon, a Silas favorite. Nailon isn't really known for defense neither.

I think they should have got Jameer Nelson. They need a back-up to Jeff McInnis, and they aren't going to get it through Kevin Ollie. He is young, enthusiastic and a good all-round player, whereas Ollie is nowhere near as good. I'm disappointed they didn't get Jameer Nelson, and have high hopes for Jackson.
Just out of interest, is he related to any other Jacksons? (Michael, Jim, Mark, etc.)

Nelson is going to be the biggest bust, he is going to get beat up so bad, he doesn't have a very good shot, and I think he is a selfish player. I for one am very glad we didn't get him, very very happy we got Jackson.

Yea we will still have that problem but Lebron, McGinnis, Wagner and Shasha all can shoot 3's decent. We would be a great defensive team because z (if he plays strong) is a great defender. Booz is just a beast, Artest is a great defender and james with it ability will be a top notch defender.

if we're talking defense, our guys really have to step it up individually and commit themselves to playing defense, and silas has to implement an actual defensive scheme which he failed to do last year

but defense is not who we are, we aren't the rockets, spurs, or pistons

this team will have plenty of offensive firepower going into next season, assuming nothing unexpected happens we should do well in the east
