So where does this leave us now? Being that all the teams around us are making moves to become better while we are still trying to sign Kenyon and trying to get rid of Kittles. We will probably look like the same exact team as last year. We got stuck with alot of bad moves in the past to get us to this moment of none movement on the team. Hopefully we dont get any more stuck.
The Pacers got a few picks this year, so they added more depth to their team. And the Pistons got Ricky Paulding with their one pick. He is a good perimeter defender & extremely athletic, so they def. got better as well. The guy we drafted in the 2nd round, Chris drejer will probably never play for the Nets, because their is no way he going to walk away from guarantee money overseas to try to make te Nets with a non-guaranteed deal especially since he walked away from florida to take the money in the 1st place. So that was just a move to draft a player that will never have achance of effecting our cap or roster, pretty much like the Nets just gave up their 2nd round pick as well.
I don't know. I hear there's more to the story than Christian just leaving Florida. I heard that he was misdiagnosed with a problem at UF, but his father is a doctor and was able to catch on it. So he quit the team because he didn't trust them... Either way, he can be brought in later like Kristic was. I have faith in him, but not too much. He can play, no question...Just lacks toughness and some heart. His favorite player is Jason Kidd...And if I was going to play with my favorite player, I'd give my best...hopefully he will too.
I hope the Nets pick up Andre Barrett. He's a great point gaurd out of Seton Hall. He could be this year's Marquis Daniels. I really really hope the Nets pick him up.

I think however the problem you ought to solve is that also, a backup PG, either that or a decent C. Maybe even someone to replace Kittles if we don't get someone fitting from getting rid of him. We'll be having SAR as well so I see big things up and coming. K-Mart, SAR, RJ, Kidd and possibly 'Zo, that ought to be a very intimidating lineup. Now all you need is a deeper bench and for the likes of Harris, Rodgers and Collins to be at their best. They probably will be, seeing as for some reason they play well for Frank.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting magicfrankie:</div><div class="quote_post">What's the latest news on Zo?</div> He said in the Daily News that there is a slim chance of him returning to the Nets. His doctor & family are really nervous about how is body would hold up if he tried to make a comeback. The Nets are currently shoppig his contract to get cap relief, so that pretty much means Zo is retired for the for-seeable future.
if we could package zo's contract with kk, that would be great! once july 1st comes around and rumors start to get really serious, then i think we can have a feel for the direction we are going in. i think wherever kk goes, we need to get some type of shooter back. i realize our moves this offseason will be limited possibly unless we trade kmart which will be a huge mistake. if we dont get a top notch pf for kmart, then there is no way in hell we should trade him. it isnt like he wants out like tmac does. we know we won't get a top notch pf for kmart so he should remain in jersey. i have faith in rod that he said we will match any offer made to kmart and keep him here, he said we would keep kidd and we did. so i think with getting $3mil from portland and a trade with kk, we should and will have enough to keep kmart. of course unless is bruce ratner wants to 'cut costs' and bring a crap product into brooklyn in 4yrs. with our bench, we are going to have nenad come over (cant expect a lot out of him) and hopefully eddie grif will settle down and help us. i expect our bench to basically be the same but with 2-3new ppl (not including eddie b/c i dont think he is a shoe-in yet). debo and lu will most likely stay and they have to play like debo did during his 6th man of the year days and how lu did in his previous years with us where he could knock down shots consistantly. so if debo and lu dont go back to thier old years, we are going to have another long season. of course they could be traded, but i dont see them being traded.
Yeah I guess we willl have to wait to see what goes on in the future and hopefully all is said and done. We will still have a competitve team that will be above .500. Because alot of teams are lookging good and could still give ust a run. Watch out for those New York Knicks cause Isaih will make moves and also watch out for Toronto cause they were trying to make a playoff towards the end of the season they ogt Jalen and Donyell to late into the season but now that they have been on the team for a decent amount of time they will try to make a run again. Also if you look at Orlando if they makes that trade for TMac to Houston. They will get a team with playoff experience and they won't only be a young team if that team can get their act together and their draft picks can immediatly perform IE Jameer and Howard they will be a crazy team.

Six months removed from the kidney transplant that ended his NBA career, the 6-foot-10-inch, 34-year-old Mourning hung out at the ninth hole of Doral's famed Blue Monster golf course. He mingled with foursomes participating in Zo's Golf Classic, took pictures with the golfers and sliced 6-iron shots while vainly trying to hit the green on the par-3 hole. This is life for Mourning, and he says he loves it. "My kids are relishing the time that Daddy's home because they're so used to me being gone all the time," Mourning said." He said he has no designs on ever returning to the NBA. "The transplant, the whole procedure was a success," he said. "Right now I'm trying to focus on making sure my body keeps this kidney for another 50 years, hopefully." Mourning's transplant came as a result of the kidney ailment focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. Mourning realizes he's much better off now than he was six months ago. At that time, he ended his eight-year career with the Heat and signed a contract with the New Jersey Nets. He retired in November, saying he needed a transplant. "I'm not disappointed at all with how things turned out," Mourning said. "Obviously, I wanted to play ball some more, but I think I put my time in. "I played over 10 or 11 years, productive years. There's some things I wanted to get accomplished, but that's unfortunate. You've got to move on with your life. There's more to life than athletics." chris_perkins@pbpost.com </div> LINK
I know kidd is made cause Zo was the only reason that he signed with us thinking that Zo can contain the the big men of the west and to give KMart herp and now KMart may not stay. He must be one pissed off player. I wonder what is going through his mind.
