Brett Favre didn't do so well against Philly, as you all have seen. So, who do you think should have been the starting QB for Green Bay against Philly?

Brett Favre. They would have been spanked even worse if they would have started another QB instead of Favre. Good ol' Brett just had a bad game, as well as the entire team I'd say, but atleast they got whooped by a great football team, doesnt make the loss as bad, but it was still pretty damn bad.

As much as I can't like FAVRE because of my love for my BEARS, you have to start the man in any game that you can. He is one of the best and he just had a bad game. I have to admit though, I do believe that they should sit him against the BEARS and try their 3rd string QB, just for kicks. [IMG]

Don't get me wrong, Brett Favre is a great QB. Last month he was NFC player of the month, but yesterday he didn't it have together.... Which is not just his fault, their whole offense was shut down by the Eagles.

2 good QB's had bad games on Sunday Michael Vick and Brett Favre.... Not their fault, everyone has their days. So, I do understand. I just really wanted Green Bay to win.

Vick isnt a good QB yet. He is a great RB though.

Vick is obviously a good QB, he isnt outstanding or playing like Superman or anything, but you can honestly say he isnt a good QB yet? If he wasnt a good QB he wouldnt be playing in the NFL and wouldnt be a starter. Enough said.

that is true, and being a runner does open up the pass, but still, you cant rely on vicks arm to get you threw a game. you cann only rely on him with his legs.

No I know, he's kinda inconsistant when it comes to using his arm. Atleast when he's having an off arm day, he can run around and gain yards that way as well, as long as they arent already behind in the score because they dont usually do a come back.

Fair enough, I will reword my statement, he is not a good starting QB

I would hope this is a joke.
I have caught myself from time to time screaming at some of the stupid decisions that Favre has made over the years. That is his style and you live and die by it. I talk with a group of well educated Packer fans each week/year (there are a few of us out there [IMG]), and we always state that Favre will lose GB two games a year and Green will lose two games a year with his fumbles. The other thing with Favre is a fan can also tell within his first couple of series on just what kind of game you can expect out of him. That wasn't true his first 4 years in the league cause he would come out just spraying passes but in his veteran years it holds true more so than not. However, Packer fans won't know what they have now until Favre walks away. You can see some pretty bad QB play on other teams whether it is bad passes and/or escaping a rush and a majority of the time you don't see that from #4. BUT, say all you want about this being Green's team, it isn't. This team "lives and dies" by the performance of #4.
As far as this year, GB is just climbing its way up the draft board for a higher pick. They do not have the defense to take out a McNabb or a Culpepper in the dome. Even if they did make it to the big one, the AFC is just to strong. You can say "any given Sunday" but not for this Packer team. Favre can put up points but not at the rate of a good opposing team. They might make it through the 1st round but anything over that would be an overachivement.

I blame Favre's poor game on Mike Sherman. He went away from the run too soon and called some early pass plays in an attempt to get Favre into a rhythm and get him comfortable. And he failed... The best thing to do with road games is to run early, even if it isn't working all that well. That gives Brett a chance to calm down.

In all of those Dallas losses in Big D, Brett was throwing early. And, not surprisingly, he got picked off a lot and Green Bay couldn't run.
