Here is some info one the guy, he is compared to Ricky Davis. Luckily he isn't the headcase that Ricky is.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Career Highlights: Finished ninth on Missouri?s career scoring chart with 1,673 points. Holds the school record for points scored in the NCAA Tournament with 145. Along with classmates Arthur Johnson, Travon Bryant and Josh Kroenke, played in the most NCAA Tournament games in school history (8). Ranks fifth all-time in three-pointers made (189). Named to the All-Big 12 Second Team (AP) as a junior and senior.

Strengths: A super athlete who flys on the wing for thunderous dunks. A supremely gifted athlete, Ricky can really get off the ground and knows how to finish in traffic. His athletic body makes him a good defender when he wants to be. He has a good handle and is great at rolling off picks?very good at moving with out the ball. Ricky is also an excellent rebounder for his position.

Personal: Son of Rickey Paulding Sr. and Virginia Renee Robinson. Father is a sales trainer for MCI; mother is a social worker. Lists hobbies as listening to music, watching television and playing video games.

I didn't even think this guy was going to get drafted. He has not had a great senior season considering that he didn't even improve on his junior stats. The only reason the Pistons took him was because of the hometown connection.

I've always been a fan of Paulding with the exception of his senior year. With a lot of improvement especially on his consistency and overall skills he can be something great. I feel he relies too often on his mad athleticism a lot of the time. Good for the Pistons though, again remaining superstarless.

Hope Paulding can stick around in the league, at least he will be a decent role player.

that was a great draft by the Pistons...Paulding has great potential, and his athleticism will only help as a perimeter defender...they need more slashers and hopefully he can turn into a nice contributor for the Pistons...
