    With Dwight and Emeka both being in the SE division they will play each other 4 times next season,which will make for a great rivalry IMO. I think the first year emeka will have a slight edge especially if dwight doesn't start.But after the first year I think it will be a nice rivalry with dwight coming out on top!
    what do you guys think? do y'all think the nba and espn will hype this rivalry?

    Although higly doubtable, the two may just end up matched up against each other.

    I am sure that ESPN will show at least the first couple games between the two...

    Wonder who will be Rookie of The Year. Probably Okafor, since he is probably most NBA ready at this point...

    Dwight the next Kwame. Emeka the next Wallace/ lil bit of Alonzo. I don't see a rivalry here.

    I hope I'm wrong and Howard does become something special, but what I saw at the hs allstar game makes me a skeptic.

    HS all-star games are more for PG/SG/SF's rather than PF/C. He was defintely a PF/C in that game.

    Dwight will be special. Don't compare him to Kwame, how many 22 foot jumpers have u seen Kwame drain?

    lol , I think H.S. Games is for everybody..if you look at Robert Swift it was mostly from that game the scouts really got on him..I heard he didn't practice for any team..anyways, Okafor will own Dwight..at least for a few more years...Theres a poll in OrlandoMagic.com .. saying how would the series be..obviously it could be 4-0 Magic but the thing that will be the same is Okafor owning Dwight [IMG] .

    I predict, both guys have career highs in the 1st game they play each other. Just be happy that we were fortunate to get one of these 2 great guys/players. They both seem to want to do whatever it takes to get them to the top. It will be an arm race between them.

    I hope this turns into a good rivalry, and I think it will. Dwight Howard VS Emeka Okafor is going to be great, both these guys are real talented I hope this goes on to be a Magic VS Bird, SHAQ VS YAO type rivalry.

    Howard at the hs allstar game

    Points= 8
    Assists= 1
    Rebounds= 19

    3 of his shots were put back dunks
    1 of his shots was over a much smaller kid.

    He did good at rebounding, but who wouldn't when you are 6'10 playing against midgets.

    I'm sorry he may have won co-mvp along with jrsmith, but he sure didn't impress anybody at the allstar game.

    Someone record Enitials comments so we caould bash him when Howard is an All-Star and putting up 5x's better #'s than Kwame Brown. : [IMG]

    You don't know much about bball if you're comparing him to KB. Totally different types of players. Talent and personality wise.

    You are right. I am praising Howard too much by calling him the next Kawme.

    Only thing they have in common is their low post game(Kwame's first season) , other than that personality at least Howard looks like he is not going to be lazy and obviously talent wise Dwight got outside game and Kwame doesn't...

    J.R. Smith was the real MVP in that game, and Dwight was also there because he is suppose to be the best H.S. player.

    Einitials. Are you a Magic fan or not? Stop cutting down our damn pick man. Even if we drafted Okafor, then I wouldnt' have cut him down, even though I would of rather us of gotten Dwight.

    Think what you want, but Dwight wants to gain 20 lbs of muscle this offseason. Already the kid wants to be the best. If you hear the guy talk, he wants to be the best. He will work at it. He might have a bad 1st year, but he will work his butt off to correct himself. I think that is what will set him off from Kwame.

    Yeah but hs all-star games are meant to let the guards shine more than big men.
